Buying the device and receiving it in the mail was all flawless. And for two days of use it worked perfectly.Then after attempting to charge the device the charger melted and now the charger nor the device is working. My bf has this device as well and hers seems to be working perfectly. We tried to use her charger on my dogs device but the device seems to be defective and will not charge. This would all not be a problem if:
1) customer service responded in a more timely manner. Given the high cost of the subscription service, I assumed response time to issues would be better
2) we were home and I was not worried about tracking my dog ( but then I probably wouldn’t have purchased this) but we are on a 6 week road trip and my anxiety increased the moment I realized the one thing I bought for my dog to support her safety as we travel through many states is actually crap.
3) I wasn’t paying the premium subscription fee for nothing since the device sent is not working as advertised.
Also the way the site and app are formatted, it is difficult to actually get to customer service, get to warranty info, get to a human being to help.
I can and will own that I am writing this review after only about 24 hrs since sending submitting a customer service request but when we are talking about our furry family and their safety, willing to pay a fair amount to track them, im Not sure why Tractive doesn’t create a more timely response process. I started out wanting replacements. I’m beginning to just want a refund as my frustration grows.

Our dog (Nola) is from shelter, and she is 2 years old and we got her recently. When we were outdoor,sometime happened that she ran after the game (deer’s, rabbits, birds…) and then she would be lost for 10, 30, 40 minutes providing us with exact number of minutes of horror.
Then I learned about Tractive and some other similar devices, but Tractive was only one available for use in my country (Croatia/EU). I ordered online and it came very quickly. Activation was easy and I was much calmer knowing that I could track Nola even if she goes after the wild animals. Application is easy to use, it tracks also her activity minutes, you can compare it with similar dogs or dogs that are in the “neighbourhood”.
Then I noticed a problem – the Tractive did not produce a sound. I contacted their Customer Happiness Team and indeed they do make customers happy. My complaint that involved returning my device and getting new was so smooth and fast and without any problems that I can only say that name they use for customer relations – Customer Happiness Team is really suitable.
And I would recommend Tractive to any pet owner because it is light, easy to use and would help you with anxiety if your pet temporarily decide to wander off.

I haven't had to use the 'find' tool yet, but I use the live tool often and it is very accurate to the location.The tracker is a bit chunky but does it's job and easily attaches to a collar.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tracker! I have it on my cat who pretty much owns the neighborhood.At night we have him come in and we'll check the tracker and he will be EXACTLY where it says he is. It's awesome. I love being able to see where he hangs out, the heat maps are so cool. GET IT!

I don't like the prices for the services. They are too high. Especially the monthly one.The prices for devices are ok. Customer support is excellent and the device works fine. There was some bugging when they updated the app but it works ok now. I know that everything new needs some time to make it work good.

Just a great device! Bought it for my cat as she likes so much to walk on nature when we go to the countryside.Very easy to use, shows detailed location, has a useful live mode, and also I liked the "virtual fence" option. The only thing that I didn't like is a collar, because it's too easy to lose it, so I had to put the tracker to another collar that doesn't open so easy (though it is snap opening collar, too)
