I always use this site to find the best…
I always use this site to find the best price for the everyday items that I want to buy. I dont want a search engine that checks prices for shops I dont use or are too far away. Trolley is just right - Set it up to search the shops that you use, set up a list of the items that you usually buy and then go shop at the store that is offering the best prices. Just a word of caution - all stores sometimes offer a price on-line that is not necessarily available in store - sneaky!
Price by weight is often incorret
I'm afraid I have to concur with other reviewers about the often inaccurate price per weight/item shown. For example, they are often taking the total weight as the weight per item in a pack. Reducing the price per 100g way too much. E.g. Sainsbury's Pork Loin Steaks 800g pack of 8 is a current example. The Aldi steaks cost less for more but it comes out as 0.66p per 100g for Aldi and 0.10p for Sainsbury's. I imagine dealing with multiple data sources handling things differently is a difficult task but I think it can be done. It's still a good resource, but could be improved. Just keep an eye on the price by weight/item when comparing.
Too many errors
OK for an initial rough guide but there are too many pricing errors to be very useful. For example, they claim the price per 100g of 'Sainsbury's Individually Wrapped Skin on ASC Scottish Salmon Fillets' is £0.24 per 100g, there are 6 portions in the pack weighing a total of 720g and the pack price is £10.50. So the actual price per 100g is £1.46. Trolley are incorrectly calculating the price of 6 portions of 720g each! I have told them about this several times but nothing has changed. There are many other errors, including the price history charts which are rubbish and wrong product links such as a link to a retailers cherry tomatoes which took me to a rear brake cylinder for a Renault Clio. I'm surprised that MSE tarnish their reputation by being involved with this site but I suppose that since the demise of the far superior Supermarket Prices website there's nothing else available.
Cat San cat litter states on your site
Cat San cat litter states on your site. 10.45 best place to get it. EBay, you go there. And then you put twenty litre bag which you have on your site on theirs. The price goes up to 19 pounds. You're providing misinformation, won't be using your site again
Literally never correct
I've been keeping an eye on this website for the past 5-6 months and not on ONE single occasion has it EVER been even close to being correct
Worse than useless. Don't waste your time
Used to be decent but now doesnt include clubcard etc prices when showing prices so absolutely pointless in finding best prices which is what it's sole function is.
Searched for cheapest Carling lager…
Searched for cheapest Carling lager deal and the information on Trolley was wrong. (27/09/2025). Aldi was the cheapest @ £11.99 for 18 440ml. I think some internet sites are biased against Aldi but should be Pro Customer no matter what! Pointless using this site if you can't trust it!
