Excellent experience and fantastic team

Great experience and fantastic team! Considering the amount of people that walk pass the Christmas market as free entry no ticket event .. the customer service is exellent!

Company is very helpful

Jenny from underbelly, sorted out the mistakes I made with my booking. I booked three tickets for Macbeth in Liverpool and forgot to try to get an accessible/wheelchair seat and carers seat. Jenny changed my booking and my parking to blue badge parking. She was brilliant! 🤩

Good venue for our band

Our band (The Creatures of Habit) play there often and we love the venue. Clean, lively, good live music, friendly crowd

Edinburgh Fringe 2023

Went there on the 26/08/23 because of the festival and the venue itself is exceptional and very clean although navigating around different areas is a bit of a hassle due to it being so big and not a lot of signage. However, the staff were super friendly and helpful and were able to get me where I needed to go! The queuing was a bit odd as once we got inside we were sent in the wrong direction but it was a great experience once we were in our seats (which were surprisingly comfy). Overall, it’s a great venue and the staff were super polite and friendly, top notch customer service!

Disabled customers - poor experience

Underbelly fails to fulfil their responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 (in my experience, as a customer). When approached about a situation where disability prevented attendance, the company declined to engage meaningfully with the principles of reasonable adjustment or inclusion. It is concerning that an organisation of this profile — one that champions creativity and community — appears not to uphold the same commitment to accessibility and fairness that the law and good practice require. I hope Underbelly will take this as an opportunity to review its approach and bring its customer care and accessibility policies in line with the standards expected under the Equality Act 2010.

Total scam and dishonest company!

I’m a Blue Light Card member and Underbelly Boulevard Theatre advertised free tickets for us. I trusted them — and they charged me £48 full price instead! When I asked for a refund, they just ignored me and took no responsibility at all. This is false advertising and a complete rip-off. They clearly take advantage of people’s trust, especially frontline workers. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour! Avoid this place at all costs — they promise “free tickets” and then charge you like it’s a joke. Shameful.

Really not a responsive bunch

I have sent multiple e-mails with queries around my ticket (over the course of 3 weeks) and now the night before the event I have still not received a response, despite a generic response assuring that they would get back to me. I can see many people on here have had the same experience, it's really frustrating, so I would avoid if you prefer a chilled way of life. Also no options of refunds or ticket insurance, just really badly managed.

Leicester Square Christmas Market Trader Experience

As a trader at the 60 day long Leicester Square Christmas Market, my experience was just awful. Underbelly pushed hard for payment before revealing contracts, then finally sent one which stated there would be £100 fines for various rule infringements. A new contract was released two weeks into the live event stating, instead, £1000 fines for all infringements. Treated like naughty schoolchildren who were working for Underbelly rather than experienced traders throughout. Charged £200 for using their water a few times to fill up our coffee machine before we started buying in bottled water. Forced to use their prescribed 'DINES' payment system which cost 4.44% inclusive and withheld all monies for up to 10 days before payouts. Finally, ignored requests to return our deposit and in mid March I had to resort to the Small Claims Court to retrieve it. I Have worked with countless event organisers over the years and these are, in my opinion, the worst. I won't be dealing with them ever again.
