Nice relax vacation
Friendly personal, the animation team was nice and tried their best despite the high tempatures. Nice hotel, nice food variation ( did have stomach problems, but could also been the heat). Last 2 days snorkeling at resort was forbidden, so make sure you check out the situation if that is your main vacation reason.

I went with Vakanties.nl to Venice
I went with Vakanties.nl to Venice. The hotel that i chose was very nice, the service was good. When it was time to come back our flight was cancelled (bad weather conditions in Amsterdam). I contacted Vakanties.nl team and they helped me very fast. I stayed one more night in Venice with accommodation provided without extra payment. Thank you for the fast reaction and the good service.

Hotel Oriental is an excellent hotel
Everything about this vacation was great except the food in the hotel, which was often cold and over-cooked. But otherwise, I would repeat this vacation every spring, if I could afford it. Location of Hotel Oriental is excellent, beach is beautiful, the rooms were big and spotlessly clean, the sheets were silky, and everyone on the staff were helpful and friendly. The flight left and arrived on time, the transfer was easy and well arranged. The area Praia del Rocha is lovely and we had 7 days of bright sunshine even at the end of February.
no support in a proper way
Avoid – poor quality, no support, no accountability I booked Adel Paradise Resort in Creta, but ended up at a place called Sunset Paradise– misleading name, and absolutely not a 4-star quality. What went wrong: * No alternative room, despite repeated requests and hotel acknowledgment. * Food was dry, cold, not enough, repetitive, and far from fresh – unacceptable for any star rating. * Beer and wine diluted with water. * Outdated, misrepresented facilities. Not as the website looks * Many Dutch guests shared the same complaints – this is systemic. Worse: * Vakanties.nl refused to take responsibility and blamed their local partner MRC. * I was told to complain at the hotel – which I did. No reply. * MRC claimed they couldn’t rebook due to “peak season”. * Meanwhile, I found available alternatives myself – and still received zero help. Citing “local standards” doesn’t justify false advertising or poor service. According to Dutch law (Article 7:509 BW), this is a breach of contract. No support, no action, no compensation. I’m filing with ECC Netherlands, the Travel Disputes Committee, and ACM. This was not a holiday – it was a lesson in how to pass the buck. I stayed for two weeks and raised my complaints from day one, right after arrival. In the end, I gave up otherwise, my family and I, including the kids, would’ve had an even more difficult holiday.
Dishonesty at it's best
This is by far the worst 'company' that I had to deal with. They do not deserve the reviews that they receive, the reviews should go to the hotels, actual travel agencies, etc. They are just intermediates and they do not take any responsibility for the services which they sell (clearly stated by them in one of their emails). I've asked to book a transfer service from the airport to the hotel, they've sent me the invoice and I've wanted to cancel it after a few days since the price that they gave me was 3 times more from what the supplier (hotel) was charging. They responded that they cannot cancel it and demanded the payment immediately. After several emails and a lot of frustration, I've contacted the agency that provided the actual services and they told me that there is absolutely no problem and I can cancel this service. After a few days, I've received an email from vakanties.nl stating that they will cancel my transport service if I don't pay for it. In conclusion, instead of 'best price guarantee' they should have 'dishonesty and lack of logic and reason' on their website. PS: The actual service which cost me 150 euro turned out to be a scam. I was promised two child seats and a big enough car, instead I got a small saloon car in which we had to seat 4 persons in the back, with our child in our arms because our luggage didn't fit in the trunk.
This website gives false information on their website to trick people.
The website shows the photos which are nowhere to be seen in the actual resort. It also shows the photos of really nice rooms and with drinks and fruit basket but the actual room has broken doors and air condition, broken bathroom accessories. The service was all-inclusive but the complaints don’t get solved for days, rooms don’t get cleaned every day even on requests and also served with dirty bath towels. There was supposed to be a minibar with 2 drinks in it but there is no mini bar, there was a small fridge which was empty and it was like a freezer so you can’t use it to store your drinks coz it will all turn in to ice. Vakantie.nl has to take complete responsibility for promoting and selling their products with false promises. I am completely dissatisfied with vakantie.nl. I will never recommend this website to anybody and will tell my friends and family not to trust this website as they are only making empty promises. We have paid more than 2200 Euros for this trip and by the end, we ended up spending 500 more on food due to lack of vegetarian food in the hotel. Is this the all-inclusive concept of the website? All the recreation facilities which are mentioned on the website that this resort “ Golden 5 The Club” offers are not there in the resort, some of them broken, most of them are in a different hotel and you need to leave the resort to use them. The lobby where there is the weakest internet is always filled with smoke as hotel guest and hotel staff smokes constantly in there. This resort is nowhere near to be kids friendly as there was nothing for kids. Only unhealthy food and drinks for kids. The food – what a horrible experience, there was only one type of food which was horrible for taste but was also not hygienic due to which a lot of guests got stomach problems including my daughter. This resort is not a 4-star resort it is more like a 2 Star hotel. Vakantie.nl should also be considered as a 1-star online travel website. As after complaining the website simply said sorry and denied to accept my complaint. never going thru this website again will encourage others to move cautiously with this website.
