Terrible service.. a bunch of crooks .
They cancelled my flights and refused to give a refund.
Theyoffered alternative flights 2 days earlier than my booking .
I was working.
Don't bother calling customer services as it takes 1 to 2 hours on hold to get thro to a person that will not help.
Do not book with them.

WestJet took my money for a non-stop flight, canceled it, then offered a 6AM flight with layovers instead on a different day.This was unusable for me, and they could offer nothing better, but they REFUSED a cash refund. Travel credits are worthless if they can't be used to get something remotely equivalent.

Exceptional Service Regarding Emotional Support Animal!!

I have an emotional support dog that will accompany me on my flight. Initially, I booked my flightwith Air Canada only to find out they changed their policy and no longer allow emotional support dogs in the cabin.
I was definitely in a bit of a panic but WestJet quickly eased all of my worries. They were very quick to respond to my inquiries regarding their current policies for support animals and, after submitting the required documentation, they granted their approval within hours following! Even on Easter Monday!!
On top of that, they went ahead and reserved the adjacent seat at no extra cost, so that there would be enough room for her at my feet.
Definitely recommend this airline, especially if you require an emotional support animal. Looking forward to my upcoming flight :)

I had my flight cancelled twice last year during the pandemic ,West jet added a 2 day layover in Calgary ??? so instead of having 2 stops I now had 3 stops and a 2 day layover.
also they are now telling me it was not cancelled due to covid?? but yet gave me no reason as to why it was cancelled.
I have been waiting 1 year for my refund which they assured me I would receive .

You owe me and all these people refunds not vouchers I don’t know how on earth you plan to still have customers after everyone uses these vouchers.I truly believe if you do not correct your course of action Air Canada’s air transat merger you cried and moaned about is going to be absorbing you too within 3 years and frankly hopefully they do and change whatever sort of lack of customer appreciation you got going on. I truly believe whoever on your board is doing this needs to be replaced the fact it’s in the paper air Canada has agreed to refund everyone and you're crying about a plan to restore domestic travel routes is absolutely horrible for your PR. Especially CEO Ed sims saying were all getting refunds just to find out we’re not. After I use this coupon I’ll NEVER use your airline and on top of what you did to the ground workers at Winnipeg airport middle of a pandemic Ed sims should be taking a pay cut and putting his wages towards these people. You’re a disgrace to aviation and a disgrace to Canada.

Refunds due to the impacts of the COVID pandemic

I am very upset and frustrated with West Jet. Last year (2020), my husband and I booked our honeymoon and our departure date was at the end of July.Our payment date approached to make the full payment for the trip, but with the government restrictions in Canada due to COVID were unable to go. We decided not to put ourselves out more money for a trip we wouldn't be able to go on and therefore cancelled our trip. They did not offer a refund to the original payment method. Instead they offered travel credit that expires June of 2022. Earlier this year they announced that they are giving refunds to those affected from last years flights due to COVID restrictions. Sounds promising right? Well it's not! They have certain terms and conditions. #1 if you cancelled your flight before they did then you do not get a refund. However, how can this even be included under their terms and conditions if the government mandated no travel outside Canada. Realistically, we had no choice but to cancel our trip. #2 our flight needed to be suspended by them more than 45 days before departure. Our flight was cancelled 41 days before departure. These 2 terms and conditions are playing with peoples money and it's absolutely ridiculous that a company is doing this and that our government is allowing them to do this during the situation we are in. Many people are going through financial struggles. The last thing anyone needs is for an airline company to hold onto money for trips that people could not take due to the pandemic. No one knows when this is going to end. Offering people credits with an expiration date of 2 years is a huge slap in the face and terrible customer service. If you want your airline to get better reviews give people options. My husband and I are not traveller's. We were just taking a one off getaway for our honeymoon. We will not be taking a trip for a very long time. Everyone is unique and some people like the credits for future travel, but an expiry date of 2 years is absolutely pathetic not knowing how long this pandemic will last. Also, you need to take into consideration the varying comfort levels of people once this pandemic is over. Is everyone going to be comfortable traveling? Do the right thing and eliminate expiration dates on your credits, as well as, offer refunds to those who were affected when the pandemic hit last year. This battle isn't over! Like many, I will continue to fight for our money back.

The best customer service - my flight was cancelled in June and I ramg tonight and got a full refund by the kindest woman ever.My boyfriend did this to with another employee and we got our full refund. Stick to their word and would highly recommend. Don’t see how other people have had such negative experiences
