The ABN AMRO Tikkie app is rubbish

Their Tikkie app is very cheap and nasty and poorly designed, that creates a payment request. The ING payment request app is much better. When you pay a Tikkie,it creates a transaction on your bank account which has NO LINK back to the request - apart from creditor name and account of course. So if someone sends you multiple tikkies per week, for example for a regular sport, there is no way of reconciling payments - no proof that an individual tikkie has been paid. This leads to endless arguments. Despite my best efforts to explain the problem to the dullards in their customer support, they simply cannot grasp the significance of this idiotic design failure.

Worst service i have encountered so far in my banking history. I had applied for bank account in march 2021 but after calling thier customers care numerous time,Its been 2 months ,i have still not got any reply on my application. I tried to book appointment as well, but due to thier system maintenance they couldn’t check it properly. Worst experience! will never choose it

No way to contact them to fix the typo in my address. - On the phone, Dutch only,impossible to go through the phone tree system to talk to a human; - On the site you can update your address, and if you try, you get: "An error has occurred Unfortunately an error has occurred. Please try again later or ring us on 0900 - 00 24 (usual call charges) so we can support you by phone. Error code: LOG00177" - On the site, you can 'send an message', with a long page to fill up with your request and details, and then when you hit 'send' of course you get yet another error saying it failed to send any message. So nothing works, no chat, no plain email available either. I am stuck with them having the wrong address and it seems over-complicated to get this resolved. All of this for a typo to fix, I can't imagine if I actually needed bank services..

I'm Dutch, living and doing development work abroad for the last 15 years. I have been banking with ABN AMRO for more than 40 years now,it is truly incredible frustrating and proof of bad customer service that I cannot reach anyone from my bank. I have been trying to reach customer service for the last 3 months, I used telephone, post, E-mail, FB messenger and Linkedin. Tried absolutely everything, but unfortunately there is no way to get hold of someone at my bank for a simple customer service question. In short, this bank doesn't even deserves a 1 star, for me 0 star rating for the way they treat loyal customers!

Living abroad.... Not with these guys.

My Monthly payment went up from 1,79 a Month to 1,99. Because I am living abroad and keeping ABN Amro they charge me 2 euro per Month additionally.This is because more checks are needed on money laundry etcetera. After 35 years time to say goodbye. It is not the money per Month but the arrogance of making it more or less my problem.
