Avira Free Security finds false positives

I have the Avira security software installed on my PC. The Windows Notification Area (System Tray)icon is labeled “Avira Security” but when I double-click on it the window title bar says “Avira Free Security.” Its “Smart Scan” finds 2 outdated apps, 2 privacy issues, and several performance issues. When I click the “Fix Issues” button, however, it displays a progression bar pretending to fix these issues but actually does nothing. The next Smart Scan finds the very same “issues.” Moreover, the “issues” found by the “Smart Scan” are false. For instance, even though my Microsoft C++ 2015+ has the very latest version (14.28.29914) for both x86 and x64, the “Smart Scan” repeatedly says that these two apps are outdated. It is clear that the free Avira software is “finding” false “issues” in order to get the user to buy the paid version. Caveat emptor.

Works well , but not clear if paid version is installed or free version. Had to find this out searching emails.Also not clear how many devices are supported with the Pro version cannot find this on the Avira website.
