Worst Online Shopping Experience Ever

I mostly do my fashion shopping online, and have been doing so for years. I can easily say that shopping buying from Base Blu was the worst,most stressful experience I’ve ever had.
Firstly, they’ve sent me the wrong item. They apologised for the mistake and asked me to send it back and will send the correct item once they received it. They did say they had to go through a process of refunding my payment, then sending out a new request for the same amount (they made a “mistake” again and tried to charge me over double the original amount by the way). I asked if that was necessary and they said yes, there’s no way around it. When they refunded me the amount, I received £16 less than what I’ve paid, I’m guessing through Paypal currency exchange fees or something. I told them about this loss and initially they said they will reimburse it. However, they broke their promise afterwards and gave me the whole “there’s nothing we can do, it’s our finance system” crap. If they had done their job properly to begin with, I would have been happy after receiving the correct shoes a few days after I placed the order.
Instead, I received the item 3 weeks and 5 days after I placed the order, having to go through a convoluted exchange process, having issues with the courier failing to pickup, facing Brexit complications, and losing £16 along the way. May not look like a significant amount, but why should a customer lose extra money because of the shop’s incompetence?
If you enjoy being stressed out and having your time and money wasted, then Base Blu is the right shop for you! You might think you see a good deal price-wise on this site, but think carefully about what happens if you don’t receive the item you paid for and losing money even if it’s not your fault. Shopping here felt like a gamble.
Base Blu - if you’re reading this, fix your stock control, your finance department, and your operations.

I ordered my item on the 25th and received a mail on the 31st saying that the item is out of stock and that they will be refunding my order,why wait 6 days to tell me that.

Misleading prices - beware!

Be aware the product price may be different until you go through checkout steps - it increases on the last (payment)step. Happened to be when an item I was purchasing increased from €1,600 to €2,000 - good job I was paying attention in the end otherwise I would have ended up being overcharged a whooping £400. There is no justification for this when shipping within the EU and I doubt it's even legal. Emailed customer service but no response, I guess I will take my business elsewhere.

Sent damaged goods!

Purchased some boots and shipping was super quick but they sent me damaged goods. When I received the boots there was a small yellow sticker next to the damage.They were fully aware they were sending me damaged goods.
Instead of notifying me before shipment that the items were damaged they just shipped them out. It took days to receive a return label and it’s been almost a month and still haven’t received a refund.
This was a terrible first time experience with this store and they didn’t even own up to their mistake. I will never again purchase from them again and just sharing my experience so others won’t make the same mistake!
