Absolute shambles of an organisation

Absolute shambles of an organisation. Claim to be child focussed but despite plenty of evidence against a manipulative, abusive father from a C1A form, they were unwilling to act on the evidence and recommended contact should continue. Cafcass employee thought she was the most important person at court and unwilling to listen. Clearly made a mistake but chose not to review the evidence to save face. Shameful and any further abuse that may follow is on your conscience.

CAFCASS is not fit for purpose

CAFCASS is not fit for purpose. They ignored evidence, failed to follow their own safeguarding and conduct policies and guidelines and as a result placed one of my children in the primary care of their abusive parent. Formal complaints were ignored and no accountability taken. I am now having to escalate to the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman - I recommend anyone else suffering the result of CAFCASS's negligent conduct does the same.

Unfortunatley I have to give this a star to write a review I could not give it negative stars. The officer in our case in my opinion lied in the section 7 report. Why we pay these people ?waste of my tax payers money. In my view incompetent and biased would not be suprised if she was on the take from the other side.

Beware Cafcass advocate for dismissal of domestic violence

I am writing this review expressing my grave concern in the hope it helps someone, and it’s regarding the biased conduct and negligence of the Cafcass "Guardian" appointed to my child, which has had a devastating impact on our family, who are victims of domestic violence. Summary of the Harm Caused by Cafcass's Involvement Prolonged Separation and Parental Alienation: I have had no contact with my child for three years following an assault by his father and subsequent parental alienation and him being taken to an unknown address by his dad which I can't find out as he is on bail. Disregard for Criminal Violence: Despite the perpetrator facing criminal charges for grievous bodily harm (GBH) and actual bodily harm (ABH) at Crown Court, a flawed Cafcass report was used to justify cutting off all contact. The Guardian even dismissed the serious criminal case as "acceptable behaviour" and not "abuse." Victim-Blaming and Mockery: The Cafcass official appeared to endorse the abuse, focusing on victim-blaming. They concentrated on my physical absence while I was in the hospital recovering from the assault rather than the violence itself. The official openly mocked and belittled my experience, omitting or immaturely justifying my concerns. I was intensely gaslighted by a report that contained fabrications and justified the violent assault as merely "boiling over." Encouraging Alienation: Shockingly, the official recommended and seemingly encouraged my child to state, with the father present, that he wanted to "never see me ever again."and went a step further to suggest to my child that it could be life changing. The report also called me an "embarrassment" for the policebeing called by the NHS for help. Specific Examples of Negligence and Misconduct Refusal to Record Evidence: The Guardian actively refused to make a note of anything that did not suit her agenda. My own father had to insist she corrected the record after she tried to put words into his mouth. Legal Obstruction and Traumatic Court Experience The Guardian's actions actively supported the perpetrator, obstructing legal safeguards, including any contact or updates regarding my child's health and academic progress (exams). Her report recommended the Family Court dismiss my fact-finding application. This causing me such severe trauma that I was unable to attend the subsequent hearing. Furthermore, she argued that evidence from the criminal court was "completely irrelevant" to my contact application. I never made it to the final hearing due to the extreme intimidation and trauma of self-representing. No special measures were put in place during the previous hearing, and the presence of an aggressive legal team, whom I knew were aligning with the abuse, made the prospect unbearable. They had previously approached me, stating the case would be dismissed. Ultimately, based on the Guardian's report, the courts took no action other than dismissing the case, citing the child's age (he was 14 when removed) as the reason no order was necessary. Breach of Human Rights and Failure to Safeguard: I believe my child's and my Human Rights were seriously breached. The Guardian denied my child safeguarding, enabling continued emotional and potential physical abuse. Lack of Accountability and Professionalism: The official demonstrated a severe lack of accountability, a rushed and lazy approach focused on quick case closure, and a fundamental unfitness for the role. She appeared unprepared and inappropriately prioritised case resolution over child welfare, insensitively boasting about unrelated achievements including getting children to have contact with parents in prison. Systemic Concerns Age as an Excuse for Inaction: Cafcass has failed to act despite the clear danger of coercive and physical abuse, citing my child's age (over 14) and his having his "own voice" as a reason for inaction. This excuse appears to minimise the gravity of the violence, treating it as an inconvenient embarrassment. Lack of Accountability in the Family Court: It is a disgrace that public taxes fund a service that lets down families so severely. Unlike the police and criminal courts, the Family Court system has no criminal accountability, allowing Cafcass to "play god" with the lives of crime victims and continue to enable post-separation abuse. Conflict of Interest: The Family Court operates in a closed environment, and I was informed that Cafcass officials are "friends" with the more aggressive solicitors, raising serious questions about whose interests are truly being served. I strongly warn others to secure legal representation when dealing with Cafcass, as their conduct in my case demonstrates they cannot be trusted.

Not very trusting

There was a couple times where I got pulled out of class to speak with a lady from cafcass (parents were going through divorce). She would give feedback on how I was with her during the talk. First time she put that i didn't make eye contact with her. Honestly why would I, I didn't exactly wanted to talk with some stranger about everything that was going on. So second time round I made sure I made eye contact with her. Again she put I didn't make eye contact with her. ABSOLUTE LIES. I really did make the effort to engage with her the second time round and she wrote lies on her feedback with me. Luckily that was the last time I ever had to speak with anyone from cafcass.
