I had noticed lately that drivers are canceling and passing the booking over to other cars and this is against safety regulations in UAE “The management” of Careem “if any” need to look into it
Careem taxi is a rip off!
Careem taxi service is a rip off. On several occasions they blocked the expected charge for the ride, and then the final bill was always at least 15-20% more, which meant that your credit card was charged again for the difference. The explanation they give is traffic jams, driver was waiting for you etc. which is totally absurd since each time I came before the scheduled time and traffic jams at 6am to the airport are non existent. On top of that they use the longer routes just to charge you more. Stay away from Careem if you can!

They pre-authorized a 100 JD hold on my card and said they will release it in 3 weeks ?? The amount for the ride was 3 JD! Unacceptable! They're customer service is garbage and they make it extremely difficult to get in touch. You're better off using ANY other rideshare or food app
Utterly dissatisfied and disappointed
I am writing to express my absolute outrage. A two-hour delay resulted in cold and soggy food, making it the worst delivery service I have ever experienced. However, the response from your support team was even worse. The level of dissatisfaction I feel after speaking with your team is beyond imagination. Offering a 10 AED credit for a two-hour failure is not a resolution—it is an insult. I don’t want a refund; I want you to know that your lack of professional accountability is unacceptable. You will end up losing all credibility if this is how you treat your customers.
