Scam at the Cais do Sodre ticket office

Be careful at the train station while buying tickets. The staff will try to rip you off.Always require the receipt and show them the prices on the web-page. The company didn't reply to your complain. I guess that they just don't care what is happening at the train stations. No apologies after we were ripped of at the Cais do Sodre!

I would give 0 star if I could! - Extremely rude staff. We have been traveling from Porto to Lisbonand both ways had the same very bad experiences with the staff on board.

Today, me and my partner got on the train to Santa Comba Dao, ticket dude was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and my partner.Just because I do not speak the language, doesn't mean I do not understand what he is saying. I asked to open the toilets, very politely, he passed by and threw a comment at me "merda". His name is Fernando Macau. You have a bad job, I'll see how "happy" you will be after losing it. Boa sorte.

Dont use the app.

I used the App to purchase tickets from Porto to Lisboa ( on the Alfa pendular). The APP IS REALLY NOT OPTIMIZED.They really need to change the app developer. When i purchased the tickets they did not let me choose my seats ( the normally do when you purchase on computer). No modification was possible.

Appalling Customer Service and Communication

I purchased two train tickets for travel on Alfa Pendular and prior to travel I requested a refund and was advised that a refund averaged 30 days.It has been over 100 days and I have not received a refund. I have also submitted requests for a refund via the website via different channels (ticket office, customer service etc) and I have not had the courtesy of a reply. The CP Web Chat was of no assistance whatsoever. This is appalling customer service. This experience in trying to obtain a simple refund has been frustrating and does not show CP Comboios de Portugal in a good light. A very poor customer service experience and fitting of a one star review.

Horrendous communication

First of all - I have no complaints about travelling with CP in general. However, my experience withthem in handling lost items and their communication about this has been horrendous: False or no information at all when calling the hotline and no answers when writing them about the issue via their contact form. The end of it all: I'm not getting my luggage back even though I have been told that it was found. Very upsetting.

First experience with them was the counter desk lady was rude when getting tickets, literally yelling at me.Then I went on a train from Lisboa to Porto, with the train that has like 12 stops and does not have suitcase locks. My suitcase was stolen and I am 99% sure it was an organized crime by a professional group involving a female employee in a yellow vest. Be careful. It also involves another 2 or 3 people, 2 of them pretending to be a couple. I have reported it to the tourist police and even to Comboios de Portugal. I told them to look into that employee because they have cameras outside the train and still have not gotten a response. Keep in mind that there are no cameras on the trains to protect you and your seats are facing away from your suitcases. The fast train has locks and only a few stops so it is better. Trains are nice but I was surprised that we got no help from them what so ever. Only employees who were kind were the ones in Porto. Thumbs up to them. I suggest you go with the faster train, back watch your back. Also, I did purchase tickets online ones and the funds went through but no tickets. Then I HAD to go to the train station right away to have them fix it. They did, but it took me contacting them 2x to get the refund back. That I did get back.

Absolutely horrific service. Do not buy traintickets here, I wasted 50 euros on nothing!Asked for a refund a few days before my trip, and the staff didn't respond to my email until after my tripdate. They then refused to admit it was unprofessional and didn’t give me any kind of refund. In fact I did not even received an apology.
