I received very good customer service from Kim at the Eddie Bauer Outlet in Smithfield, NC.She helped clarify more color options of the Escapelite shirt available online than in the store, and helped me save a bundle of combined discounts for the Eddie Bauer's Memorial Day sale within the store and online. She also knew all the other discounts that she applied towards my final purchases!

Terrible Customer Service

I received a pair of new Eddie Bauer moccasins for Christmas 2020. The stitching began coming loose within a few weeks.They advertise a lifetime guarantee on their products. So I quickly contacted them, they agreed to store credit and sent me an email label to return them. I included my name, address, email, and phone number on a piece of paper inside the package. I mailed them on the 5th, they received the slippers on 4/7/2021. The FedEx tracking number: 773317066642. I contacted them when I saw that the slippers had been delivered. They said it would be 10-14 days before I got the refund. I contacted them after the 14 days and they said it would be another 2 business days. I contacted them after 5 business days and they said it would be another 2 days. I have talked to Andrew, Paul and lastly Emil. Emil said they were having trouble "finding" the returned slippers. He said it would be another 2 business days for the store credit; that was 4/28/2021. So not only am I out of the $99 slippers, I never got the store credit to replace them. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I've been waiting for my order since June 2020. I spent the first months reaching out to only receive half-assed responses from their customer service team.At one point, when I asked when my order will arrive I was told they don't know and apologized for the inconvenience. What an absolute trash company.

The worst

The worst. First, it appears that no one is maintaining their website, as I have experienced a variety of errors that actually prevent me from completing a purchase.When that happened, I received a message to call customer support to complete the purchase. But their customer support is now only open M-F 9-5 ET, not really a replacement for online website purchasing. Since unfortunately this particular item is only available at EB, I did end up calling and making the purchase via telephone which turned out to be a very painful 20 minute transaction and though the support rep was eager, she had a very strong accent which was difficult to understand, and kept repeating herself over and over. Right now, my time is much better spent taking whatever time it takes to find a different place to buy any items I might rely on EB for.

Item cancelled but was charged anyway, months later

A small order was placed on 8/30/2020, for 4 T-Shirts. 3 pieces were shipped and received in early September; the 4th item was apparently on backorder. Every week,I would see a new, *pending* charge for $13 on my credit card.  Finally, in December, it was becoming clear the missing item would never be delivered, so I called customer service to cancel the order, in order to discontinue those $13 weekly charges.  On that call, I was told they were unable to cancel the order (unbelievable!). The weekly $13 charges continued until I called again on 3/26/2021.  I was once again told the order could not be cancelled, and I asked to speak to a supervisor.  All of a sudden, I was now told the cancellation was "requested".   I did not see any further pending charges and thought the matter was closed.  That is, until I got my last credit card statement.  There I see a CHARGE on 3/26/2021 for $10.01! What an inept e-commerce system and customer service organization eddiebauer.com has implemented. A Wholly Horrible Experience.

In all honesty we all know any hint of customer service is gone, they don’t stand by their warranties and try to escalate,it’s almost impossible because they don’t care. Call them wait forever try to order something nothing is ever in stock, get an order in and it takes forever to arrive, I used to spend thousands of dollars there often, now I’d be a complete idiot to even consider them. Run far run fast this organization is already in the toilet and on its way down. They changed their software system and lost all my orders from the past, so they say they cannot see my orders and cannot honor the warranties

If there were a 0 star I would have selected it. This once incredible company has become a nightmare to deal with.As a Gold member, whatever that means I have loved this company as my go to clothing company. NO more! The service is horrendous, the product is cheap and poorly made. It is awful! It is heartbreaking.
