1.I call on 15/5 told money they are holding of mine can pay another transaction.
2. i call on 19/5 first told i have attitude really because i am driving and dont have the transaction number and staff member too lazy too look it up
3. told i will get a call back or email that day
4. 20/5 no call or email so i live chat and call ... my request has been denied need to wait 5-14 days for refund to resend a smaller amount of it
5. It is 2021 really with this level of customer service escrow.com will not be here in 2022read more

I've been dealing with Escrow.com for many years, selling domains. Circa 2020 they suddenly and for no apparent reason stopped sending payments to Russia.A quote: "because of US financial legislation we are no more allowed to transact with banks from Russia, it's not an Escrow.com policy".
AFAIK there are no sanctions against Russia yet they do not do it anymore. In their email they told me it's their bank (CITI bank) regulations and not their initiative. But CITI and other US banks still make SWIFT wires to Russia no problem. So I gave them my US bank account which they have approved.
Last week I'm starting a new transaction and when money from my buyer arrives, they contact me and tell me that my bank account is not good for them. A legit US bank account in an American bank in New York. I asked what's going on. They told me about some regulations they have against third party payment processors, whatever. That my account was opened through Wise and for some reason it's not a good account 'cause my bank processes payments for a third party. But when you send money by SWIFT from the US to the rest of the world, you usually use US intermediary banks (a standard procedure) which technically is a processor for a third party. So according to escrow.com this is an illegitimate practice.
When I asked them about these regulations, maybe they could show me some links to official documents, I got this response: "As for a copy of the regulations, we do not one available." (copied as is, I guess they have missed the word 'have' here).
So, at first they told me it was their CITI bank that couldn't send money to Russia. I bought it. But when I gave them my US bank account, turns out they can't send the payment to it because of some third party payment processors regulations they have but can not provide to me.
So, now it all looks like they do not deal with the Russian citizens just because of their own bias and prejudice towards them. I guess Russians are the new Jews now (which is ironic because I'm a Russian Jew).
There are no sanctions against Russia, banks are still sending SWIFT wires to and from Russia. The US account I gave them was approved at first and a few months later they have found some lame excuse not to disburse money to it.
All that looks like they simply dislike Russian citizens, they put racism before business and now I'm going to take legal action against them and unveil their unethical behaviour. There were real sanctions implemented against China last year when American companies were banned from dealing with Chinese companies, escrow.com didn't put China on their restricted countries list. But they did put Russia. That should tell you a lot about them.

I lost a sale for $42000 because of this discrimination but what's most important, they have damaged my reputation before my buyer and my broker. I will be suing them for discrimination and reputational damageread more

Imagine that you are conducting a trade and you are blocked without notification. You are waiting for them to process the deal,but it turned out that they blocked you 2 days ago, and it will be revealed only after a few days when you will write them by yourself. Stay away from this service. It's easier to just negotiate with the buyer directly. because in case of any problems, they will offer you this, but at the same time they will take a commission.read more

I received an email that everything is fine and the buyer paid for my application and that it is possible to transfer my data from the account.We agreed with the buyer that I will transfer his entire Google account along with the application, which I did. He confirmed the receipt of everything, and then this service without notification and email blocked my account, and this is how I understand the buyer's account too. But he doesn’t care, but I don’t, because I didn’t get my money, and the buyer got everything. I received a standard message in the mail that this is their business decision.
