No refund. Booking made in 2019 and rolled over via voucher. Still cant travel. :(

No refund. Booked our tickets in 2019 (before covid). Had an email cancelling our holiday from eurocamp for June 2021.Full refund given by eurocamp as we have been told we can not travel. Eurostar will not refund. Only option is a voucher valid upto Dec 2021. We cant travel any other time due to kids holidays and work. We booked way before covid. Now cant travel (we want to but France not letting us). £850 in eurostar tickets wasted. Its a disgrace. Customer service team very nice but point blank so no refund due. I cant afford to lose £850. It's not our fault. Shocking. I think a collective group of customers in same situation need to take this further. A protest/demo outside head office or at Kingscross.

Unhelpful, irresponsible Eurostar Customer Service, overly bureaucratic procedures that even staff don't understand

Reviewed on 2021-05-02T13:14:23

After travelling on trains through Germany, France and Belgium conveniently and without any hassle,at Eurostar in Brussels the experience took a terrible turn. As I had not noticed that Iwould need to buy a separate ticket for my instrument (which could fit easily standing next to me sharing my seat without) I had to buy one. I had arrived with 2 hours to spare so this should have been possible. However, I faced I wall of ineptitude, unhelpfulness, lack of training, as unsympathetic, unskilled staff were sending me from office to office across a large building (my carrying weight was no issue to them if they could avoid lifting a finger). I faced a large number of contradicting statements, prices, and procedure. The 2 hours twindled down to minutes before departure and with no ticket in sight, instead Eurostar employees still starring vacantly at their computer screens. No regard for the stress this caused to someone about to miss their international travel, they continued in their slow, bureaucratic way. In the end a ticket could not be produced even though I had paid. A "manager" was supposed to see me through the gate, but he didn't come. An employee took pity of me and let me through and I ran through the doors as they closed behind me 10 seconds later. Very different to the Eurostar adverts. Much better and cheaper to go by plane, where there will always be someone who knows the procedure. With Eurostar I was trapped. I wrote to complain but no one replied!

Unsafe and unprofessional during the pandemic. Used to be great!

Reviewed on 2021-04-14T13:54:39

Before the pandemic I would have given five stars! In the last year: - March 2020 booked business class and it cost £200 extra to switch my ticket. No business class services were provided onboard, other than small bottles of water being handed out - October 2020 train was crowded, with social distancing impossible. I paid £75 to upgrade to business class, for safety, but in business class everyone was without their masks as they were eating the provided meal - January 2021 social distancing was impossible at the St Pancras paperwork check, with a Eurostar employee actively encouraging people to bunch up - They advertise that all bookings are flexible but, unlike flexible flights, they must be rescheduled the week before travel, rather than the usual 24 hours. The only reason I have continued to use Eurostar is that it is more environmentally friendly than flying.

Allianz & Eurostar Fraud ! Please be aware.

Reviewed on 2021-04-08T13:50:13

I've been offered for cancellation insurance in addition to my ticket fee it says if you need to cancel your trip for personal reasons you'll be covered.I paid 15£ and felt relaxed because I need to apply shengen visa before my travel and it was risky due to covid. Now, I tried to claim the refund due to covid travel restrictions and they said this doesn't covers covid. Basically, it is a fraud you just need to give extra money to Allianz and Eurostar. They stole my money during covid time great experience. Will never forget it !

FILM DESCRIPTION: It was Richard Attenborough's lifelong dream to bring the life story of Indian political and spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi to the screen. When it finally reached fruition in 1982, the 188-minute, Oscar-winning Gandhi was one of the most exhaustively thorough biopics ever made. The film begins in the early part of the 20th century, when Mohandas K. Gandhi (Ben Kingsley), a British-trained lawyer, forsakes all worldly possessions to take up the cause of Indian independence. Faced with armed resistance from the British government, Gandhi adopts a policy of "passive resistance," endeavoring to win freedom for his people without resorting to bloodshed. In the horrendous "slaughter" sequence, more extras appear on screen than in any previous historical epic. The supporting cast includes Candice Bergen as photographer Margaret Bourke-White, Athol Fugard as General Smuts, John Gielgud as Lord Irwin, John Mills as the viceroy, Martin Sheen as Walker, Trevor Howard as Judge Broomfield, and, in a tiny part as a street bully, star-to-be Daniel Day-Lewis. Gandhi won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director.

Very poor service on the phone. I was pretty much told that I cannot have money back because I was silly to book in the midst of a pandemic. Eurostar has taken our money but given no service in return

Reviewed on 2021-03-23T13:26:27

I just requested a cash refund, because we had booked and re-booked twice over the course of the lastyear.

Terrible service

Reviewed on 2021-03-15T20:03:05

Terrible service. Eurostar cancelled my trains but did not communicate this to me.When I called to claim a refund I explained that I paid on a credit card that I no longer have. We had to go through the process of sending the money back to the card and have it returned to Eurostar. Eurostar then couldn't locate the money in their own system. Another week later I contacted them and they "found it". I provided new bank details only to have £369 refunded instead of the full £396. Their incompetence is astounding. It's more than a month since I contacted them to discover they had cancelled my journey and yet I still haven't got my full money back.
