Booked a package with Iberostar.com online with a representative on the phone. The package clearly tells you for an 8 night stay the following is included: All inclusive,$600 of coupons, free transfers, airfare, trip insurance, free cancellation, free Covid 19 testing before going back to the US. When we arrived at the Cancun airport, no one was there to help or pick us up for the transfer to the hotel. The Iberostar, Expedia, and W2M representatives continued to pass us between them and after 3 hours and $300 dollars later we were taken to the hotel. Many phone calls were made back to Iberostar hotel in Mexico and the US phone numbers on all the paperwork. Now we are still having problems and still have no resolve. There are many other issues going on. Please consider another hotel before booking the Iberostar chain of resorts because we have spent most of our time getting passed from person to person and phone # to phone #. Other quick notes, if you are handicap only one of the resorts has an elevator (the one in Cancun).read more

Iberostar disabled people not stars

Well I just tried to make some reservations for next year for a disabled friend and Iberostar hotels can not confirm the room.I mean they have the room but they can’t confirm( they can only 99% confirm but not 100%confirm)How can a disabled person be expected to book a trip with a disabled access room but Iberostar can’t confirm the room. Extremely puzzling as by law you have to offer these facilities and make them available but Iberostar ( where evidently disabled people are not stars )have them but won’t confirm. Very discriminatory as i not being disabled can book a room no problem.
Thankfully Melia hotels do not have this issue with disabled travelers .read more

Poor service all around. There more interested in selling you a time share then they are making sure your vacation is all it should be.Food was terrible, drinks warm. Fridge in villa didn't work. Housekeeping was awful. Tractor goes by your room everyday at 4am. Needing a golf cart to get anywhere no they don't give you one, you call the lobby and then wait. My husband suffered food posining. Our ride from the airport to the hotel left with out us. We paid cab fair then I had to get a hold of customer service to be refunded. First and last time I stay at a hotel that clearly has no respect for its patrons. You can find out for yourself if you want, but I have stayed at far better places and so should you.read more

I made the grave mistake of buckling to the pressure of signing up for the 15 years program.I am highly disappointed that they are NOT sticking to their part of the bargain by refunding us the $1000 for me and my husband’s portion of our air fare PER the contract. We traveled in December and it is almost April. We paid over $15000.00 for the membership. I would highly suggest that you RUN the other way if approached to join their program. Sounds good when they are popping champagne but the reality is that once signed, they don’t really care about you. I am very distressed about not receiving my refund. Don’t be a fool like me.read more
Grand Rose Hall went downhill

First off, the resort took a lot of cut backs since I was last there 2 years ago. Amenities in the room has cut backs, the buffet took away a lot of things, and the same shows as 2 years ago, but with different dancers - very boring and played out. Our butler was great and entertainment staff. They made it but I am truly disappointed for the price we paid besides my wedding coordinating disaster. I am also a member of Iberostar and wanted to inquire about wedding and upgrades as to what they have to offer compared to all other resorts for wedding packages. We stayed in mid January and our butler, Andrea was fantastic as well as the entertainment staff. But the wedding coordination has been a disaster, even till today and I finally made my decision. With our membership, our upgrades no longer had the grande where we would have to stay at the Suites. The representative at the resort, tried to accommodate us with an upgrade by purchasing an upgrade for a membership, say $20,000USD - are you kidding me. I am bringing you guests with 10 bookings of rooms and the only way you will accommodate me AS A BRIDE is for me to pay my membership upgrade to get the upgrade to the Grande. Well that infuriated me and I went to the wedding coordinator to tell her what happened. Syrecka was very good with her follow through and personally came to me to asked what happened instead of writing an email. She brought with her, the manager Ms. Joley. Ms. Joley ASSURED me that she would be in communication and rectify this to make this a pleasure wedding planning. SHE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! It took until we got back to the states to get poor communication with the Iberostar Club - to get aggravated with the outcome of the calls. I do not trust them at all for my wedding planning and after getting the email I had today - THERE IS NO WAY I WILL EVEN put my wedding in their hands. IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND HOW TO MAKE MORE MONEY UPGRADING TO THEIR MEMBERSHIP PLAN. That is a disgrace!read more
