I thought I'd share my customer service experience - it looks like I'm not alone!!
My kettle developed a few rust spots when about 14 months old.When enquiring about a warranty claim, CS could not have been less helpful. I was told it was a "maintenence issue ", my fault, in other words! We own several other Kitchen aid products that are excellent but this attitude will ensure I don't buy or recommend to friends any Kitchenaid products.

I have a 15 month old refrigerator that won't cool. I have made multiple calls and received a different answer each time,call the retailer, call the service company. The service company says it should be warranty but KitchenAid has to approve it, they won't. I pay the service company to fix the fridge, call KitchehAid back and get the case to a manager and they tell me they could have covered it if I didn't already have the work done. What a joke, horrible process. Should have went with the Wolf/SubZero package.

Disgraceful Customer Service. The Kitchen Aid kettle I purchased in January was faulty,the lid broke soon after it was used. It was sent back to the manufacturer to be fixed but they were unable to do so. 4 months after my initial complaint and several weeks later without a kettle I am still awaiting a refund/replacement. Customer service is slow, unhelpful and uninterested. I would avoid any purchases from Kitchen Aid. The high price tag for the goods does not reflect the level of service expected from their customer care.

I purchased a new home with KitchenAid appliances and had nothing but problems with the microwave/oven combo.After waiting for over 4 months, a service person finally came to troubleshoot the issue and found that the microwave was improperly manufactured and it wasn't repairable. Weeks later, Whirlpool finally called to tell me a replacement microwave/oven combo had been ordered, but they would email me the delivery date later that day. Additionally, they told me the name of the company that would deliver and install the new appliance. Well, I still haven't heard from Whirlpool regarding the delivery date, and the company that they told me would deliver and install the appliance doesn't exist on the internet. Save yourself a big headache and just buy LG.

Purchased a new, expensive dishwasher. ITS A COMPLETE LEMON! We thought KitchenAid was supposed to be a good,reliable company. It's trash. It's been less than a year and we've already had to get repairs three times. Of course, this takes weeks because they never have the right parts. We will never buy another KitchenAid product. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB for a replacement. Do not buy KitchenAid.

I purchased a Kitchenaid Dishwasher model KDFE104H. It does not work according to their manual.I am suppose to be able to program it to use the same options that I had previously used. It doesn't work. After their warranty repairman replaced all the electronics it still doesn't work. Bottom line is their user manual is incorrect so this option is not available on my dishwasher. They will not stand behind it and told me if I returned it to the place I purchased that store would basically have to eat it. I was told the salesperson would be able to tell what options were available. Well how can they do that when Kitchenaid doesn't have their documentation correct? The person I talked to at Kitchenaid was helpful.

Hopeless. I needed a part for my food processor. Have been trying since March. Emails to and fro,many not responded to. Finally managed to get through on the phone, explained the problem. Silence. Then “oh somethings gone wrong at this end, I’ll have to put you on hold. I’ll phone back if we get cut off”. Funnily enough he didn’t. They did in the meantime send outa part which had nothing to do with a food processor.
Not sure what to do now. They have some issues I think.

Do not! Do not buy a Kitchen Aid refrigerator. Or Maytag or Whirlpool. Kitchen Aid will not support their product.If there is an issue they will kindly ask you to purchase a new refrigerator. I have been a loyal customer to Maytag/Kitchen Aid. Every appliance I have ever bought has either been Maytag or Kitchen Aid. My KSSC48QTS03 (ser# SW460021) will not dispense water or make ice and Kitchen Aid told me to either live with it or buy a new refrigerator. Very disappointed! Kitchen Aid is unable or unwilling to repair their product. One would think that a $10K refrigerator would be repairable.
