My LaCie Rugged that I bought two months ago is suddenly not working any more with any cable or on any computer.(My computer running on Mac Big Sur) . They're support site offers a phone number that disconnects you immediately when you call. The e-mail support is also not responding after many attempts. I should have a warranty on the product but I can't get a hold of anyone? DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It costed over a 100 euros and now all of a sudden it is not working and there's no one from the company to contact. I am beyond disappointed and feel tricked.

I bought my first Rugged 2011 and a Porsche Design 2017 and I had been very satisfied with them.Beginning of May in 202, it suddenly does not connect any more to my MacBookPro (with BigSur). I tried to get in contact with the company via their so called "support" site, but even after three attempts no answer whatsoever. Even though a window popped up promising a response the next business day. I think I am going today to MediaMarkt and will (suggest that they should not sell it any more) (2) buy a backup hard drive, but certainly NOT LACIE !!!

Recently had to send my Lacie hard drive in for repair as was unable to connect. Had to wait 30 days for quarantine which I could understand due to COVID.As my drive was under warranty I received a second hand replacement which I have no confidence in. I have been told I now have to wait another 30 days to see if they have been able to recover my files. I only purchased LaCie due to recommendations via Camera magazines I truly wish I had bought another product with better support. Total rubbish

3 Lacie Hard drives, same issue 4 weeks in

I wrote this earlier to Lacie after speaking with Apple.
I feel compelled to inform you that your Lacie Hard drives are putting me out of pocket seriously,and I really do think you should pull the product from Apple's App Store.
I am now on my third Lacie, one bought through Apple and the other two from Amazon, but the same model, and on each occasion, the same issue occurs.
After using it for a few weeks it begins to disconnect from my MacBook Pro and then you need to sign in again.
It become so worrisome that you are going to disconnect with the slightest movement of the table or on your lap and that you might not be able to sign in again.
I was concerned the first time it happened so bought another of the same product to "save" my data in case it would not sign in again, and then it has happened again and now again! I certainly cannot tolerate being given the "sign in" box, then sign in correctly but the Lacie icon does not appear in Finder!
I do nothing to damage these products but as it seems to be a regular occurrence after a few weeks of using it, could you please suggest an alternative company which would be compatible to transfer my data over to and not be so scary to use?
As I am writing this, it has disconnected again (and here you can have the photo evidence taken from the MacBook Pro under which is this from).
Apple does not think this model is suited to MacBook Pro's and have suggested G-Technology as an alternative.

Bought 2Tb and 4Tb quadra drives. The first one failed after a year of use, and the second lasted about 6 months.Wasn't able to mount them on any system and recover my data afterwards. Never gonna use any of their products again, Lacie drives are unbelievably unreliable.

My LaCie 1T external hard drive failed completely after about 4 years. The power adapter connector to the hard drive melt down.It is unbelievable. It is a product with a safety hazard. A beautiful case came with a poor quality parts.
