Charging monthly payments for no reason
They always would overcharge but recently I noticed I had a direct debit for £3.99 a month which had been taken from my card for a few months without me noticing. It was from lime. When I asked them for help they denied any responsibility and claimed the £3.99 was for a lime pass I had bought but I’ve been driving for months now and ontop of that there are no subscriptions on their site or app that are £3.99 a month. Absolute scammers.
Promising service, but broken bikes and unfair charges ruin the experience in London.
I moved to London a few months ago and was really excited to use Lime—especially as a weekday alternative to dealing with house traffic on short trips. It seemed like a smart and eco-friendly way to get around. But now I’m consistently disappointed. I’ve found multiple broken bikes, tried to cancel rides when the bag or bike was malfunctioning—and still got charged. Most upsettingly, even after reporting a bike as damaged, I saw the same bike remain active hours later, ready to trap the next unsuspecting rider. On one occasion I tried three different bikes in a row, all unusable and all still charging users. This feels like being robbed—not a glitch. If a bike is reported broken, it must be immediately deactivated. Leaving it live is irresponsible and dishonest. London riders deserve better. If Lime acts and improves, I’ll happily make this review more positive—but for now, it’s frustrating, disappointing, and unfair.
Unconvenient
Unconvenient, the price is not fair, bikes are in bad condition
In USA you should check your bank satatements always, they scammy charging you
In Charlotte, NC, USA, they charged incorrect amount and if I did not check the bank statement I would not notice. This is awfull business practice when companies charge cards like that. I double-checked all my history of rides as well as bank statement and raised the ticket just 5 minutes ago. I think they will refund with apologies otherwise i will do a chargeback since i have all the proofs. Despite the result, even if they apologize, it's not ok to practice such scam activities. I think FTC must pay attention and stop this kind of fraud.
Don't waste your money
This is the worst e-scooter company. Dishonest and take your money when they can't offer their service. Allowed me to sign on after their cut-off hours and then cut me off because it was during their cut off hours. Delete their app and don't bother. Everytime I use Lime there is an issue. Unreliable and zero stars
Bring Back BORIS BIKES !
Bring Back BORIS BIKES !! - I used lime in Abu Dhabi and was very happy - today in Stratford i thought i would give it a go and strat using the bikes at lunch time instead of going for a run - I wrongly thought a 6 mile journey would cost £1 fixed fee and 27p per mile - but i ended up paying £10.58 for a 34 minute ride which equates to 29p per minute is ridiculous - and a complete rip off - this company should be barred from london as they are are ripping people off and i will now be very happy to petition the removal of the bikes from the city.........
i hate lime
i hate lime, everything always goes wrong
NEVER AGAIN
NEVER AGAIN - the worst electric rentable app. Ofhers ars much better in london. Stupid no park zones - took it to my appointment, was told I couldnt park there. Took it all the way back from where I collected it, also was told I couldnt park there. Had to drive all the way to other end of town to park up. So not only was I charged 2.5x what I should have, I also missed my appointment!!! Angry is an understatement.
