A good experience, despite not going ahead
I recently spotted a vehicle on the website of Lloyd Skoda, Carlisle which I have been looking for now for several years. The website was excellent, providing me with a good description of the vehicle, along with an excellent series of high resolution images to judge the vehicle. Via the website I was able to quickly and easily reserve the vehicle so that we could visit the following morning to view/test drive that car. I have to say a special thanks to David Johnson, Senior Sales Executive at Lloyd Skoda, he was very quick to contact me the next morning prior to us setting out on the 40+ mile trip to the dealership. He even braved a howling gale and rain to provide a personalised video of the car in question! On arrival at the dealership the car had been moved to the front of showroom so we had plenty of space to look around the car. David immediately introduced himself, without being in any way pushy or obtrusive. He came across as being very knowledgeable about the brand in general and the car in particular. He was refreshingly honest and open with us. We were then left to inspect the car although at this point I would say that I was surprised to learn that the car had already been valeted and prepared for sale. The reason I was surprised was that there were several areas where the cleaning process had missed, in fairness though perhaps the poor weather had an impact on that? What I did find a bit shocking was that obvious corrosion/damage on the alloy wheels wasn't dealt with. This definitely had a negative impact on our decision not to proceed with purchase. At the end of the day though the deal was never going to happen due to the incredibly low trade-in value the Sales Manager assigned to our vehicle, even accepting the car we were trading in wasn't the one we'd arrived in it did have several very rare factory options that took it well above bottom book value. Ultimately though, I have to give five stars to Lloyd Skoda, certainly to David Johnson himself. He is a real asset to the company and someone I would deal with again in the future should a similar vehicle become available (I still haven't found one!). The valeting may have been weather related issues, the missed recification of alloy wheel damage may have been due to a busy workshop and perhaps the low trade-in value was due to not having the actual car present, so I need to be fair to Lloyd Skoda and award the score as shown above. Maybe next time, I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the particular model and if it appears at Lloyd Skoda I will be straight back there!
Excellent company
Helpful, no pressure salesman who kept me updated with everything I needed. My vehicle was delivered when he said it would arrive and in person which was a nice touch. I found an issue with the vehicle a week later which they resolved very quickly and without any hassle, arranging for a local firm to carry out the repair the next day. All in all, an excellent company which I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will certainly be a return customer in future.

Bad purchase
Purchase a used hilux and it was totally rotten within a year failed mot big time only fit for scrapyard Lloyds don’t care only money
Mower service
Mower was serviced recently. Was twice the cost of previous service done by different company who have now stopped serving my make of lawn mower. Also retention clip for holding the starter lead had been broken off during servicing with damage to paintwork on the mower A large patch of paint had been removed under the grass box holder. This was obscured by the holder when returned but could be seen when connecting the grass box. Recommended you take pictures of any items before you send them here for servicing as it appears due care is not carried out during servicing and top price is charged for mediocre service
Shocking service! Less than 1*!!
If I could give them a lower rating I would!!! Fuming mad!! Cancelled my insurance with no warning and still charged me to cancel!!! On account of this I closed my Lloyd's account too!!! And gone back to Admiral for my Insurance whom I should never have left!!!!
this company is a joke
this company is a joke, one staff member tell lies that parts are ordered then the next day another staff member phones you to tell you they will order the part. one staff member tell you they are specialists in repairing your machine, another tell you they are not after taking your machine. my recommendation to anyone foolish enough to use this company is to go elsewhere. I have waited over a month for my lawnmower to be repaired, it is a 10 minute job at most, and I was promised it would be done in 10 days, we are now approaching the sixth week. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
WE purchased a new Amazone flail…
WE purchased a new Amazone flail collector from this company in september 2019, in october 2019 it went back to have a number of warranty issues dealt with, it was FINALLY returned to us on 06/03/2020! Only one thing out of the work had been carried out. And in lieu of the operators manual that should have come with the new machine in a waterproof tube they emailed a pdf! This company simply does not care.
