Take money without giving you option to cancel

Took out a subscription last year only for it to auto renew this year with no prior warning or any option to cancel.Not only has the money been taken the yearly cost has increased since last year without any notification to me. Tried to contact but their phones are turned off. Sent an email over a week ago and no reply from that either. Very disappointing service, would never recommend taking a subscription out to anyone.

DO NOT take out a subscription. I took out a Gift Subscription for a birthday present and then afterwards was informed the recipient would not receive their first edition for another 2 months.I have emailed them 3 times but no answer. Appalling service.

I’ve paid for a year’s subscription (payment hit my card weeks ago), but other than the confirmation on screen at the time of purchase I received nothing else.I would have expected and email confirming the purchase/payment etc. and as it was marketed as a gift, something I could have printed to hand over as gift. As it is I have nothing to show for the money paid, and it remains to be seen if an actual magazine turns up and when.. Unbelievably poor from such a brand.

Non-existant customer service

My membership automatically renewed despite me sending an email to cancel it. Several emails later and no replies.I really don't want to let this go am going to write a letter (real paper!) of complaint to them.

Absolutely appalling customer service…

Absolutely appalling customer service from Creature Media. We've subscribed for around a year,and in March our daughter sent a poem which was published in issue 177 along with a promise to send her a small prize which never arrived. Countless Facebook DM's and emails later, and still no prize. So ridiculously straightforward for them to resolve, and yet here we are.

Underhand auto subscription practices & poor communication

I bought a groupon offer for a years subscription to Nat Geo Kids as a gift. The groupon advert DIDstate it was an auto subscription. At no point did I ever get any communication from Nat Geo about how to unsubscribe, until exactly 1 year later when I got an email that implied that they'd taken the next years £37 payment. From a noreply email with no link for how to contact them. Useful! Luckily for my I paid with PayPal for the groupon, and they weren't on my pre-approved payment list, so they haven't actually take any payment. Plus they seem to have ignored my email I sent them since to unsubscribe...

Awful customer service from company unsuccessfully distributing really good magazine

I have been subscribing to National Geographic magazine for kids in UK for over a year.The company organising the subscription in UK is called Creature +++++. At the beginning they were ok. But then started sending the magazine to the wrong address. I sent several emails to Creature +++++ but received no response. I phoned them on 0333++++++ and for weeks it just went to voicemail. Eventually somebody did answer but problem still not resolved. I would not bother with opening a subscription with such poor and awful customer service.
