Still good Platform for Pictures, bad Support.

Pixies is still a good platform for anime and manga images. But I've been a member of Pixiv for almost 10 years now, and I have to say, it's not getting any better. What strikes me negatively is the increasing flood of AI images and R18 content. First, my messaging function was permanently blocked without any explanation. The support is poor and unresponsive. And what about the app? Why do full-screen ads keep popping up that I can't close? I contacted support about this and only received a standard response. I always thought Japanese people had a little more sensitivity and respect.

The biggest art website in the world…

The biggest art website in the world with more than 98 million registered account. According to Google trends it is not very popular in west, mostly popular in Japan, China (Taiwan/Hongkong) Korea, asean region. I using a web translator app for novel works and a screen translator app for manga works and i also trying to learn the language. The rules is basically: they not allowing any real photo, or any art what can be mistaken to a photo (3DCG/ai) since it caused problems with the site moderation earlier but not anymore. They not allowing any art what is illegal in Japan (like adult r-18 art without mosaic censorship) and not allowing hate towards and actual person/group, most people are banned from pixiv for this reasons even they think it is ok. Yes pixiv are allow more but in drawing/stilized 3D not realistic 3DCG ones and not against actual person/group just fictional ones. if i saw a misterous link i didn't clicked, but lately i also not seeing misterious links so looks like they improved the site's moderation without restricted the artistic freedom too much. They have some extra restrictions in they paywalled sites (booth webshop/fanbox art support site) because of the international attention, i think MasterCard maybe Visa forced it. Lately pixiv also added some regional restrictions based on location, so people who living in a region where the laws is not compatible with the site rules can be avoid some artwork if they didn't changed they region settings. Why the neutral review: Pixiv also have features as premium what are free features in other art websites like block more than one tag, or shorting the artworks by popularity. Earlier i experienced slow image loading but nowadays it is faster.

Good site but what is up with the child…

Good site but what is going on with the child porn. This site needs to be cleaned up or banned!! Seriously how is are these images ok to show? Is it a culture thing? Any where else in the world this website would be shut down.

Used to be a good platform until the AI flood

I decided to edit my review due to visible changes. This site used to be very good for Asian & manga artists until the flood of AI "art". Even though the Pixiv staff added a toggle to filter images tagged as AI-generated, many pictures are still not marked as such. It was easy for small artists to get noticed until the constant spam of AI-generated images. As if it wasn't bad enough, the amount of child porn ( not even just drawn child porn, actual pictures of children & realistic AI-generated child porn ) being passed as "art" & being allowed there is sickening & proves the issue with allowing "fictional" child porn & AI-generated images on a platform. I started to use this platform less & less due to that & the fact that you cannot mute more than 1 tag for free. Other than that, Pixiv is kinda hard to use when you do not know Japanese. But English, Chinese & Korean languages are available. I still recommend you to use Japanese tags to get more visibility, but due to the flood of AI-generated images, I doubt that it will be easy to get noticed as a small artist. You will have to count more on your followers than on the tags you use. The community is mainly Japanese, so it's way more calm & tame compared to sites like DeviantArt & Twitter. Though, the community isn't that active, you can get 50 faves but only 1 comment on your art if you're lucky. I would hope that the AI & child porn issues get resolved, but considering that the site allows AI-generated images & does nothing about realistic / real child porn being marked as "fictional", I doubt that it will get resolved.

What the hell?

While the quality and content is better than deviantart, I find it very annoying that there’s literally only one tag to block, how am I going to avoid problematic characters and ships? I’m extremely uncomfortable about the prepubescent character nsfw because they’re mixed up with the legal age characters… Good thing I deleted it long ago.
