A NEW CUSTOMER SERVICE LOW

Reviewed on 2020-08-11T22:13:22

I ordered 4 candles from SAVEONCRAFTS. The candles arrived in a cardboard box absent of packing materials,or bubble wrap. Dent and scrape damage was evident, but they were not cracked or broken. I contacted customer service, explained the damage incurred, and was asked if the candles were cracked or broken. I indicated the damage was cosmetic. The customer service agent indicated because the candles weren’t cracked or broken, they were still functional (would burn), so a full refund or replacement would not be offered. She also stated dings and dents were NOT considered a reason for a refund. I explained the candles were for display only so appearance was important. Again the agent informed me they were still usable. She then offered to take 25% off my order, which still left me with damaged candles. Unacceptable. I refused her offer and indicated a full refund was expected for the lousy packing job. I also offered to send pictures to confirm my complaint was legitimate. I also offered to return the candle order (less than $22) for their inspection. There was no offer of a prepaid shipping label, no refund, no replacement, just a discount for damaged candles I couldn’t display. I don’t appreciate being put in a position to give an ultimatum, but did so, threatening a negative review. I expected a full refund or replacement for the careless packing ‘effort’. I was then given a ‘one time courtesy’, full refund by a snippy agent that will never epitomize good customer service. Before disconnecting, she mentioned I could use the damaged candles during a power outage.

You Get What You Pay For

Reviewed on 2018-08-20T12:38:45

I purchased the Dried White Statice Flowers (Item # 40099910255) and Natural Dried Lavender 20 inch 120 Stems (Item# 40099905770).When the flowers arrived I was very disappointed. The "White" statice flowers were actually yellow. Not a pretty yellow, the kind of yellow that something white turns when laying in a trunk in the attic for too long. The lavender had lost a ton of buds. At least a handful fell out of the bottom of the box when I opened it. I contacted customer service. I was told that the photos on the website are professional photos and are not the actual product. I asked for a refund. They said they would gladly issue me a refund if I returned the items. Well the total cost of the two items was $21.99. I spent and additional $8.99 getting them shipped to me in the first place. The post office needed $10 for me to return the package. So that would have been a total of $18.99 for shipping costs on 2 items that were misrepresented on Save on Crafts website. I didn't feel as though I should have to pay to return something that looked nothing like what I ordered. I would not buy from the seller again and I wouldn't advise any else to either. I'm just happy that I placed the order very early on so I could see what they looked like before I bought all that I needed. If I had counted on Save on Crafts to be a reliable seller I would have been left with some pretty sad looking flowers for my wedding centerpieces.

Buyer Beware!

Reviewed on 2018-05-02T22:48:40

Buyer Beware!: They will send you an inferior product then insist that YOU pay the shipping to return it with the excuse that they "aren't in competition with other craft stores." Excuse me,but yes you are! If I had simply changed my mind then it would be my responsibility to send the return. But to send me something of such poor quality that's it's almost laughable and then tell me that it's MY responsibility to pay shipping (again!) to return it is a poor excuse for a business model. When the problem is on the supplier's end then it is the supplier's responsibility to make it right. Unless it's saveoncrafts. Their customer service just hangs up on you. Apparently they don't take responsibility for their products.

If you think you're getting savings…

Reviewed on 2018-02-17T07:16:00

If you think you're getting savings you're not. According to them, to give customers "low prices",they have to balance the shipping which by then wouldn't be savings anymore. For over 1 year+, a bag of beads I wanted had been out of stock. One day, I saw it restocked so I ordered it. Saw the high shipping of nearly $11 for a $5.99 bag of beads. Ordered anyways despite shipping costs because I wanted the item. Order went through. Two weeks later, they told me it's out of stock. I go back to the website, and nowhere on the item indicates "out of stock". They wasted my time and cancelled my order. Plus the savings aren't real. They bait you with low prices and then double your cost with the extremely high shipping fees. I'd be shocked if anyone actually buys from these people. The product images can't even be zoomed in for a closer look. They just all look like Google images with poor resolution. On top of that, they don't look like they make returns easy at all. I rather buy similar items from Hobby Lobby.
