What does shop honu do?
Honu is the Hawaiian name for the beautiful green sea turtles often spotted swimming in the shallows of the Pacific – off the shores of the Hawaiian islands. This is where our founders had their first encounter with this beautiful species and was the inspiration for honu, founded in 2017. Now 6 out of the 7 species of sea turtles are endangered and we want to do all we can to help prevent their extinction. That's why we've partnered with the Sea Turtle Conservancy in Florida. After all our overheads we donate 10% of our profits to aid their amazing work. By buying from honu, you'll be benefitting sea turtle conservation through the work of Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC), the world's oldest and most accomplished sea turtle research and conservation. Their vital work helps towards restoring the nesting habitat of sea turtles and maximising the survival rate of hatchlings throughout the Caribbean. Since we launched in 2017, we have donated over $21,000 to this cause and in partnership with STC, we sponsored a loggerhead turtle who was released in Florida in July 2019

had my turtle necklace that my boyfriend got me for nearly a year now and i’ve only taken it off twice,BEST THING is that it hasn’t rusted or broke once!!!!!!
the only bad thing is that it got sent to the wrong address first but that’s the mails fault.

I bought a few items from this site via Instagram not expecting much (given it was an insta company)but was pleasantly surprised! Items arrived quickly and lovely quality. Turtle earrings made my ears hurt a bit but I have v sensitive skin and even my real pearl silver ones normally hurt after a while so to be expected! Perfect additions for summer holidays. Because I was a little dubious of using Instagram companies I only ordered sale items the first time but have considered buying full price items since, so would def recommend.

Shophonu is a fantastic site with lovely jewelry inspired by the ocean and its creatures.Good material and good packaging very thoughtful and nature friendly.

I have just joined trust pilot to leave a review for this company. I initially ordered x2 sterling silver rings and despite wearing them in the shower and with sanitiser (I know..I know!)they have remained in a pristine condition, I am really impressed! I always try and wear sterling silver as I find the material more durable. I have just made another reorder of another x3 sterling silver rings and I look forward to receiving them shortly! I also give credit to this being a small company based not too far away from me in the north west UK!
