BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

Due to complicated laws surrounding mass texting i was unable to use this service after I subscribed. They continued to charge me $52.00 monthly, even though I told them that I couldn't use the service from late October until I realized it in January. When I asked them to reverse the charges they refused even though they knew that I never used their services.

Starts off great, then a scam

I am a writer and I signed up with the company Textedly as a way to have a different sort of mailing list with my readers through text. As with most things, they have a huge terms of service. I didn’t realize that the credits that I’m paying for monthly, do not equate to one credit per text. So I had much less text available than what I believed when I was purchasing the plan. More importantly, when I attempted to cancel, not asked for the $300 back for this year, but to cancel the auto renewal, they said I am not allowed to cancel except for a 14 days before my renewal date, which is next October. Clearly in hopes that I’ll forget, I have to pay another $300 and then get the same message that I have to wait for another 14 days before the next renewal. Unbelievable customer service before I purchased their product, they were amazing, and then… Here we are. Horrible, horrible customer service now. I don’t even want my money back. I just wanna be able to cancel so that I can’t get charged $300 for this waste of a service again!

Cancellation Instructions Not Provided When Requested, Billing Continued

I contacted Textedly on November 11 specifically to ask how to cancel my subscription as there are no clear cancellation instructions available on the website or in the dashboard. At that time, I was not given clear cancellation instructions. Instead, the responses focused on feedback questions and alternative options before cancellation , and billing continued. Clear step-by-step cancellation instructions were only provided much later, after additional charges had already occurred in November and December. When I requested a refund based on the lack of clear instructions at the time of my cancellation inquiry, the refund was denied. The company stated that instructions had been sent earlier, but when I asked for proof of when and how those instructions were provided, no documentation was produced and communication stopped. The issue here is not policy, it is the lack of clear cancellation guidance when explicitly requested, followed by continued billing. Additionally, within the first two weeks of signing up, I was asked by Textedly to leave a positive review on a third-party platform in exchange for a $50 Amazon gift card, which I never received. I would caution others to document everything carefully and be aware that cancellation instructions are not proactively provided.

Very disappointed in Textedly

Very disappointed in Textedly. They are not honest and you have to be careful. Be careful giving your credit card number, you may find unauthorized charges to your account.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They only allow you to cancel within a small window and ignore cancelation requests. So after canceling they charged me over $200 for a service I hadn't use in 10 months, and then renewed, and said I can't cancel until 12 months in the future during a 2 week window. Horrible customer service - stealing from a small non-profit and making canceling VERY DIFFICULT. I offered to pay a small fee in case we canceled wrong, but no, full price for a year and can only cancel in a YEAR during a 2-week window we have to remember, so likely will be charged again. WARNING - horrible terrible RUDE customer support. I have never heard of a company that only lets you cancel a year in the future within a window, and does not even send a notice that you are about to be charged - had they, we would have canceled again. I am not exaggerating, they siad: QUOTE: "Support staff is not able to cancel your account for you. Since your plan renewed on December 6th, you will need to wait until next year to cancel since it’s not within the 14 day window. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but policy doesn’t allow for any reversals or refunds for renewals. I wish there was more we can do, but our policy is firm and my billing team has confirmed that this decision is final." Sure, the "wish there was more they could do" - that is a bold faced lie. They just want to steal our money and hope to get a renewal next year if we fail to cancel within a small window.

I wish I could give zero stars to this “company”

I wish I could give zero stars. This company is a complete scam. I used Texting Base for years until it suddenly switched to Textedly. I was never notified of this change by email and only discovered it when I attempted to log into my Texting Base account. Once I realized what had happened, I followed the instructions provided and emailed to have over $1,000 in unused text credits transferred to the new platform. Despite doing exactly what was required, I was given multiple conflicting and misleading explanations by customer service (specifically Ally Archer) as to why my credits could not be transferred. I was ultimately told that if I wanted to continue using the service, I would have to start over from scratch, losing over $1,000 in credits and the countless hours spent completing 10DLC registration. This situation occurred solely because the company (Inunity, LLC) chose to switch platforms, yet customers are being forced to absorb the loss. That is completely unacceptable. After reading other reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only person who has experienced these deceptive practices. I strongly caution anyone considering this company to proceed with extreme caution, they will con you out of 100’s of dollars and hide their hands when you request a refund.

textedly demo limitations

Hi, not very customer-service-oriented. We can't demo the service. Their trial is extremely limited; you can't demo anything. No sandbox account, etc. They want you to pay for a month to test it, even if you only need to test it for a day or two. I've never experienced this before. EZ texting was far more accommodating, but they had some limitations, and we couldn't move fwd with them. I would recommend EZ texting over these guys.
