TLDR: Booking got cancelled several days before trip despite making reservations a month back,had to rebook within 4 days or risk forfeiting SGrediscover vouchers. Sent a rebook confirmation which was acknowledged verbally immediately and only got a reply 2 days before stay, stating that the booking was rejected due their inefficiency in processing. Customer service was MIA; only got a personal call after heading down to main office. CS offered no form of gratuity and had to fork an extra $62 SGD for their mistakes or told to cancel booking. Would not recommend. Full story: Problem started when my booking was suddenly cancelled due to the hotel being converted into a quarantine facility. I was given a 4 day notice to rebook a hotel or risk being refunded. I rebooked within an hour, called CS to check if they got the rebook (which they verbally confirmed) and only got a reply after 2 working days. To my horror, my booking was not allowed as the booking was not available anymore, despite checking that 2 rooms were still available for the same booking on the Traveloka app and had gone up by around $31 per night. I called customer service for several hours immediately, only to be left unanswered, and this was already 2 days before the supposed stay. Frustratingly, I went down to the Traveloka office in Singapore to settle the matter, only to be told that they could not do it as the main office was in Malaysia. They told me that they would escalate the matter and I would receive a call within 30mins. I only got the call around an hour later, which I was met with great dissapointment when they said that they couldn't do anything about my initial booking and I had to pay an extra price difference for the new booking, although they were at fault for not processing my reservation on time. This is very unprofessional of a service provider, to make a customer pay just because you guys were inefficient. A discussion of around 2 hours ensued with the following conclusions: 1. They cannot accept or reopen the initial booking price despite being at fault for the slow processing. 2. They are unable to absorb the new price difference despite them being at fault. 3. They recommended lower star hotels instead, despite the initial booking being a 5-star, as the other 5 star hotels had gone up in price in these 2 days. 4. They kept pushing me to cancel the reservation and get a refund, despite my efforts of rebooking on time and trying to contact CS. They also told me that if I rebooked, I would forfeit the SGrediscover voucher without any form of compensation. 5. Requested for some compensation or gratituity from Traveloka repeatedly, only to be met with rejection. After the whole fiasco, they managed to book my initial reservation immediately (within 15min), after I agreed to pay the price difference. This was triggering; why couldn't they do this 2 days ago? If they had settled the reservation immediately back then, I wouldn't have to spare the trouble to contact CS, go down to the office and pay the extra price. I was offered no form of compensation for their mistakes and was instead met with due stress, anger and monetary loss, in addition to the initial dissapoint of the sudden cancellation of my booking. I would think that a service provider of such scale have better considerations for their customers, especially since a mistake was made on their part. This shows the lack of efficiency, professionalism and customer service in Traveloka and I will not recommend this service for anyone who is looking for a fuss-free travel service.

Traveloka is wasting my time

The first time was ok. However, when I book the ticket a second time, it was a pain in the a**,Traveloka absolutely wasting my valuable time. The price shows up on the 1st screen was a mismatch with the price on the final screen (more expensive). I got a coupon that I have not used, and it said that the coupon has been redeemed already. Traveloka is just unsatisfied me this time

I have been using Traveloka since mid 2015 and really happy with their services. It offers me easy way to compare multiple flights and hotels options.Lately I have been relying on Traveloka to book attractions and also purchase my phone top-up credits. They often run big promotions where I often get really good deals.

Scam !

Do not book anything through this company. I have not been able to retrieve my hotel booking through their useless website.Despite multiple requests to have my reservation cancelled, their even more useless customer support, is unable to cancel the booking which is 2 months ahead !!! The so-called Global Customer Support number in the UK (+44 number) does not exists ! I had to call their Indonesian call centre at a cost which I shall not recover. The result of the phone call = Absolulty nothing !!!

Got scammed! Bought an express ticket for Universal Studios Singapore yet its not the admission ticket???Had to pay extra for the admission ticket and it costed SGD 144+ per pax! Was so frustrated and angry!

Don’t ever book with Traveloka. They’re very difficult to communicate and doesn’t say the truth or always comes clean and blame it on the airline.My flight was cancelled last May 2020 and they gave me an option for travel voucher which is quick or cash refund which will take three months to process. I still opted for cash refund but after four months there’s still no news so I followed up and to my surprise they still gave me a travel voucher saying that Philippine Airlines doesn’t give cash refund anymore. I felt doubtful about it because a friend of mine also book almost same date with me through a travel agency (not Traveloka) but she received her full cash refund after a month. So I decided to contact PAL and confirmed if it’s true. However, PAL denied it and sent me a proof that Traveloka requested for a travel voucher instead for a cash refund and so I sent the proof to Traveloka. But they still denied it despite the PAL’s email. They’re such a fraud. So now it’s PAL who’s helping me to get my cash refund because Traveloka won’t properly communicate and they’re so difficult to talk with and doesn’t accept their fault. So beware of this.

Cheap deals but really a TRAP

Hello, may I share my experience with using Traveloka’s services. Indeed, they offer great travel deals - discounted airline tickets and cheap hotel and accomodation.Come the start of the lockdown measures, unfortunately, a LOT of guests that had travel bookings with this agency had to cancel plans and therefore cancel their bookings. I had mine refunded by the start of the year upon learning my airline allowed refunds. I have this coordinated with them, until it was processed on their end and have this requested for refund with their airline partner. 7 months have passed and with multiple follow ups made, they have been responding with the same update - awaiting for airline approval. While I appreciate them being responsive to my ff ups, I can’t help but be mad at the lack of transparency and enough details to support that my refund is indeed sitting already with the airline. Both airlines and their wholesalers will not help you and will just direct you to Traveloka. It was like I was on a dead end. You can check their FB page, and you may note that some have booked with them for domestic flights - airline has already processed refund BUT it is either not refunded to the guest or refunded with deductions to their wholesalers. These (horror stories) I find them horrible and UNACCEPTABLE! You say they are LEGIT? - At some point, maybe yes. But when it comes to refunds, NO - they are totally a SCAM. It is a hard lessson learned and will never book again with them, EVER! If I can only rate them negative stars, I will. They don’t even deserve 1 star to begin with!
