Tuta will never be Gmail... GOOD!
I am a long term user of Tuta and I won't be switching to any other email provider any time soon. No other email provider has such a strong focus on ethics and privacy. While they aren't the most technologically sophisticated provider, I am happy to take that as a trade off for stronger ethics. Smaller businesses which are focused on sustainability, ethics, privacy, etc. don't always (and shouldn't) have the backing of huge venture capital firms. If you care about these values then you have to get used to products which aren't always cutting edge purely because the companies don't have the money to be at the cutting edge. Tuta does everything that I need it to do and I have almost never experienced true problems with their software that I couldn't sort myself or find a solution to. And when I have had to speak with their support team I have ALWAYS immediately been in contact with a highly knowledgable HUMAN. That itself is worth twice what I pay for Tuta's services. Stop expecting Tuta to be Gmail. They are not and never will be and that is a GOOD thing!

Good privacy based email with great customer service m
I like using Tuta (formerly “Tutanoa”). It IS different to other providers but they all different and have different advantages. This service absolutely has great customer service and who provided me easy step by step instructions and I was able to access a paid account on an amazing sale (and their normal prices are still excellent). So I look forward to watch the next phase as this one has gone very well so far. If you’re looking for new secure email to maintain your privacy and wellbeing and/or you’re unsure about bundles or having all information services in one place, I’d definitely recommend seeing in the trial phase or a free account on its own if you think Tuta might be able to provide a home for you. I am glad for the account here.
Would really recommend to any privacy fan
I’m really sorry to see that others have had a bad experience with Tuta and have rated it poorly. I’ve been with them for a while now and I only had one lock out where I couldnt login to my account for a few days. Yes I had to use an alternate email to contact support and it was very inconvenient, however that only happened once. I strongly support their mission and appreciate the fact that they are a small company and things can go wrong, its tech, things do go wrong, what I value is transparency and learning from mistakes. If it kept crashing and nobody cared, that would be a different story. But even looking at the bad reviews here, looks like they are making effort to resolve. From my experience coming from big tech, I would still highly recommend it. And not sure why some claim that positive reviews are paid, from my end, I leave my positive review and I dont need an incentive. My incentive is that the world needs more companies like these guys, who can challenge the bog tech, and if we, the users dont support them, who else will? Make a choice, chose privacy, chose a paid service. Because if you get something for free, then you are paying in something that you just dont see. Sorry to break it to you, but nothing comes free in this world and that is normal, that is okay, as the long as the cost is reasonable - they have to make a living and the services cost to run.

Privacy, security, no BS Their service is direct and to the point. Their focus on encryption, privacy and security is what sold me. When I had a issue with a major seller who refused to accept my tuta email, their customer support was quick to tell me what was going on and how they'll make it work.

I use Tuta on two Macs and my iPhone and it syncs very well. For about two years I used Tuta alongside other Email systems before I started to use it in a more serious way. I think the first thing to say is that the general smoothness of the system has increased a lot since I first started using it and generally, I find it very simple and reliable. Also, compared to some other similar Email systems it's good value.
Overall amazing service
Overall amazing service, all data is E2EE and the interface is very modern. The free plan gives more than enough, but the paid tiers have many amazing perks including multiple addresses and access to different domains. My only issue is that it is comparatively slower than other services like Gmail, but I hope the speed improves in the future.
