Skate & Dine Lunch
Just been to the skate and dine lunch which was amazing food and very good value, had lunch in the Japanese grill, 3 course lunch and then ice skating with beautiful music and hot chocolate afterwards. Such beautiful grounds, staff all lovely as usual. Definitely a favourite. Thank you.

Went to Mrs Beeton’s restaurant at the village Beaverbrook hotel for a Friday night treat dinner ! We arrived early 6.45pm , absolutely dead , zero atmosphere ! More like a Monday night than a Friday night ! My 9 year old old son had the kids fish and chips, not worth the £30 , cold slimy fish , yuk ! I stupidly ordered the burger and chips , probably one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had ! Tasteless and dried out burger ! Washed down with a glass of Rioja, the bill was ridiculous! I’m all for expensive restaurants, but please give the customer and experience worth paying for that actually makes them want to come back ! Also really fussy menu , what is the point , especially when you can’t even get an over priced burger and chips right ! What a shame ! I definitely will be warning everyone how rubbish and over priced it was ! Come on Beaverbrook sort it out !
Not a memorable birthday
We were celebrating my partner’s birthday in the Garden House Restaurant. The starter she ordered was as sweet as a dessert. The steak I ordered was nearly half full of fat. The above plus her main course, two glasses of wine and a dessert, which we shared, came to more than 200 pounds. Although Beaverbrook acknowledged my complaint and confirmed that I will be hearing from the management, there’s been radio silence from them to date.
