I’ve had an incredibly frustrating…
I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Affirm/PayBright, to the point where I feel exhausted by the endless obstacles to resolve my account issues. Despite multiple attempts to pay off my balance, my efforts have been met with unproductive customer support and technical issues that leave me stuck in endless loops. I’ve called their support team from abroad, incurring extra charges just to try to settle my balance. After providing all my credit card details, I expected this would finally close my account. Unfortunately, it did nothing to help. Here are some of the issues I encountered: Phone Number Update: I had to go through a lengthy process just to change my phone number, including email requests and a call from my new number. Eventually, they confirmed the update, but when I logged in, I was stuck in a frustrating loop asking for repeated ID uploads and timing out every time. Verification Problems: While traveling in Europe, I disabled airplane mode to receive a verification message that never arrived. Then I was asked to enter my SIN, only to be informed that a confirmation email would be sent to an unknown email address. This entire process has been costly, frustrating, and time-consuming. I am still unable to access my account or close it, despite providing all my card information in a 24-minute call on October 30th to settle my debt. Unfortunately, this company does not seem to have an effective solution, and repeated requests have yielded no progress. I strongly advise potential customers to consider these challenges before engaging with Affirm/PayBright. Customer support has been unable to resolve my issues, and the process has been more trouble than it’s worth. Proceed with caution.
Dishonest Company Practices
2 years AFTER completely repaying my Paybright loan, they just randomly started taking money from my account again. Customer Service is useless, refusing to admit their "mistake" even after receiving confirmation from my bank. I have attempted to escalate the issue but they just stop responding. I really thought it was a good idea at the time. But if their business model is to start stealing money from you years later in the hopes that you don't notice then sorry, this is nothing short of a scam. Beware!
Worst company ever
Worst company ever. With your credit card on file they take the money they want without advising then we've to fight with them as nobody answer or returning calls, emails or whatever. I've to suit them in court to recover my money the theft.
Shady Business Practice
When I tried to update my card information the website wouldn’t let me, or let me update my address. I tried calling it in to finish paying my bill, was kept on hold for over 30minutes before I could talk to customer service. The guy proceeded to say all my card detail OUT LOUD, with his coworkers around him, and continued even after I told him to not do that. He said he updated all my information. Next month, I get a notice that payment failed. Went back to the website and nothing was changed, and it still wouldn’t accept any update. Emailed them, they told me they were having problems on their end, and later told me my MC wasn’t accepted…but they advertise accepting MC? And there’s nothing wrong with my card. Continuously tried to contact them, hung up after being on wait for 25-30min each time. I finally get an email suggesting to connect them to my debit banking, meaning if they overcharge or mess up on their end, good luck getting ahold of customer service to get your money back. I can only imagine the security risk going forward, and reading other online reviews it's disappointing to see PayBright not wanting to improve themselves. Shady business practice vibes for a company that can’t accept MC when they advertise to accept it, can’t service calls in a timely manner, or fix their platform for something simple like updating an address- and after 5 months it’s still not fixed! Never using PayBright again, and wouldn’t recommend this thing to anyone or any business.
Customer service is trash
Have been trying for over a year to contact customer service to have my phone number changed so I can log into my account. They always tell me they need to move my case higher up, then I get ghosted and receive no communication ever again. I have called, emailed, verified my identity. I have been getting double charged every month, my loan has been paid off for a while now but they continue to remove money from my account. Customer service is non existant.
