I did not read the negative review. I pay 20 a month for the product I am using. I am a professional writer and attorney. You have to know how to talk to the program and you have to be consistent and decent. You have to treat the program like a real person. Period. You have to be respectful. You have to make sure your questions are clear and logical. This is the BEST of all of the AI programs, period. !!!!!! It is like having a professional top grade editor right at your side. Can't beat it.
I like the the ai they are dishonest…
I like the the ai they have but very dishonest. Took my CC payment with free Optus promo. The customer support was not good. I feel deceived by this US company.
Great Ai tools, Terrible company
Look, Perplexity is an amazing ai tool and perfect for research or finding things online(way better than the rest). But my subscription got deleted because I 'violated the terms & conditions. I can not find or remember when I did anything illegal on Perplexity, so it must be very strict and subjective terms & conditions. Also, I sent an email to support, and they told me almost the same thing when I asked for clarification. So they will kick you out for anything, give no explanation and keep the rest of your money. Yeah, that's right, I paid for 1 year plan and got maybe half a year. So sad the best Ai tool is in the hands of the worst company ;(.
Perplexity Pro quality is declining
The features for perplexity pro have recently been restricted. There are now fewer advantages over the free version, which provides highly inaccurate answers.

I upgraded to Perplexity Max for $200 per month. It has been horrible. The program does not function, follow directions, learn, etc.
Unannounced pro plan limit changes
Unannounced pro plan limit changes have been rough. Not to mention false advertisement too. Wdym changing unlimited file uploads? Like the aws costs would be that big, then don't save our data for training duh. No, you don't always get what you want, but this, this is basically daylight robbery. Subscribed to monthly pro plan few weeks before the changes. Never again. Seeing how other models work like Claude and Gemini, I don't see reason why to use Perplexity anymore. These other environments have basically same search and Claude also has basically same "computer" feature too. Only difference between them is that they don't put their bs context in to models. "Hey, I'm perplexity", hell nah.
Such a shame…
I used to love Perplexity and recommended it to everyone. After the recent quota cuts, it’s obvious they’re prioritizing cost‑control and upselling to very high‑priced tiers, while giving most users much less for the same price. Unless you’re willing to pay $200 per month, Perplexity is fairly useless for any serious research or use case that isn’t better on other AI platforms.
7 day limits after 30mins of work for Professional users.
I am a Pro version subscriber and find Perplexity platform is completely unusable for Professional users. Platform has obscure limit policy, which you don't know about when you unexpectedly hit a limit during making an important work. I've been told by the worker that the limit for Professional subscription will be reset within 24 hours. I was able to perform like 30mins of work and hit the limit. this was a simple code like 112kb and a few prompts. I've waited 2 days but the limit is still out there it still do not allow to upload attachments like i uploaded this in the first day of work, and the subscription upgrade pop up window appears every time I've try to upload a file. Then i was told by the automatic response ai agent that the limit is not 24 hours but 7 days!!!!! They are inconsistent in their replies and do not even properly know themselves what the limits are. Seven days for Professional users? For real? What kind fo professinal user will ever be interrested in using a professional platform every 7th day for like 30minutes? This is very frivolous! Even Anthropic has 4 hour limits which is kinda low, but few times more than 24 hours but 7 days??? Come on... The Desktop app and website do not notify about current limit consumption. The user do not know how to plan the work, when to expect his work will be blocked, and client do not know when he could resume the work. No even a simple indicatior of how much of the limit is used and how much does it have left. When buying Pro subscription you will not get informed that you'll be limited after 30mins of work for a 7 days. The help-> contact support menu is broken and do not work. I cant even imagine how would you work with little more advanced code like 20-30 files. It is not even a platform for beginners, let alone advanced users!
