Helpdesk chat-robot should have speak English

Rather buggy software from the start, incompetent customer service, useless AI bloat, paid user reviews

I am using Sevdesk for about 5 years now and it has been a rather buggy software from the start. Recently Sevdesk gave their UI an update and plenty of new bugs were added in the process. Their support responds quickly if you find a way to contact them but unfortunately appears not to understand their own product or even know the difference between assets that are subject to depreciation and such that are not. However after three days to a week they will start pressing you to close the support ticket although your issues were not resolved. Likely due to internal KPI obsession of their organisation. They are advertising their "AI" heavily although it really is just text recognition in your invoices plus a chat bot that is supposed to advertise "product upgrades" to you when sevdesk decided to change their subscription model once again and functionality that was formerly included in your running subscription plan must be advertised as a "new optional paid upgrade to your plan". Ironically the chat bot is in the way when you track invoices: its ui element overlaps with the sum of items in the invoice you are currently tracking. It is not possible to deactivate it. Sevdesk's official recommendation to deal with this is that you use your browser zoom do zoom in or out so you can see the sum of invoice items that you just tracked. Another thing that Sevdesk appears to have hoped to improve with "AI" is likely their expense for customer support by human beings. So your first address is always the chat bot that usually just points you to an article in their "documentation". The documentation however largely just describes what you see on the screen anyway – no additional insight given. Lastly another thing that Sevdesk really uses AI efficiently in appears to be fake reviews. Try and research for accounting software reviews and you'll always have high ranking search results for sevdesk. If you spend just a few minutes reading those reviews you'll find the usual patterns of AI generated articles that offer poor insight but largely repeat the same points over and over again. Likely that was an attempt to cut expenses for bribing their user base into writing good reviews by offering them gift vouchers if they change a formerly bad rating on trust pilot (had that happen to me before). Over time Sevdesk does save you some time with bookkeeping and writing invoices. Especially if you are just starting your business and don't know much about it yet. But that is pretty much it. I absolutely would not recommend this product nor company to friends, family or people I work with.

Non-exaggerated real stuff you will face (after some time)

At the beginning I thought that sevdesk was a good software and worth the money, however after some time, you start to notice that (as many people have already said) they lack basic VAT settings and settings. ex. If you need invoice in english, not everything will be translated and you have to translate it manually every single time. I have now had a download problem, with a very very important document as it seems that there´s a technical issue two months ago. Until this point the support hasn´t been able to fix it. I have followed up mutliple times and I honestly feel like they are not actively working on it and are rather not competent enough. It´s very very clear to me that the team is not equipped to help you (in case you face any technical issues). Yes they look nice, yes, it´s easy to use, BUT don´t be fooled. Super disappointed and switching to another more serious software asap.

Not usable

Support is always available, but never able to help. The advertising for additional features is incredibly annoying, and basic accounting functions are not available. Not even with additional subscriptions. In addition, the bookings are not presented in a well-structured manner. This makes booking and retrieving information a real pain. Unfortunately, I signed up for a 3-year subscription. So now I'm stuck with double the costs. But I really can't work like this. Stay away from this software!

Ambiguous Contract Management Kills Confidence in SevDesk

I've used SevDesk for several months and found the features to be quite basic and limited, only suitable for simple accounting needs. The most significant issue is the ambiguous contract management: there is no automatic confirmation email when you apply for contract cancellation or extension. This lack of communication leaves you completely uncertain if your request was processed until much later. While the basic interface is easy to use, the limited functionality and serious administrative oversight regarding contract confirmation make this software difficult to recommend.
