Upstackhg or Toptal

The following story says it all. Hire companies like Toptal and Upwork instead; they are safe and can be trusted. The reason for hiring upstack was to be sure that the developer working on the project had been checked really well and to be sure there were controle with him so there was no risk of being scammed. All turned out to be far far from the case with upstackhq.com. After 8 months of paying an upstack developer full time I was left with no money, no game and a code no other developer can use to finish the game. The last half year I have tried to find a company or developer to finish the game based on the work Upstack did. So far 2 companies and one developer have been a bit interested and have had a look at the code. They more or less say the same. The work Upstack has done is maximum, 3 months full time work and what he has coded is not the work I have ordered in the detailed wireframes the developer was supposed to work from. One says he could use some of the code, the other two say they prefer to start all over with their own code. So I was scammed big time.
