Unique house in a unique town
Good space for bringing the family together including young children and a dog. Watch your head on the low doorways though. The house dates to 1311 like much of the town and makes for a fascinating stay.
Fantastic find for a mixed aged group
The accommodation was comfortable and welcoming. It had everything we needed for our New Year holiday. Our family group aged from 2-82 had a fantastic time.
Fantastic very large house …
Fantastic very large house so cosy and warm. Fabulous bedrooms and the bedding is amazing so comfortable. If your thinking of booking this house I highly recommend you do you won’t regret it
Very comfortable cottage
Very comfortable cottage, well equipped and spotless. We didn’t need the wood burner, the central heating was warm enough. Large enclosed garden, perfect for dogs. Needs better signage, we struggled in the dark. Would definitely recommend.
Cozy, romantic getaway
Absolutely the most delightful spot for a romantic getaway. We were cozy and content in the shepherd’s hut while enjoying looking out at the beautiful landscape. The view was even nicer when relaxing in the hot tub! Heidi was an excellent, responsive host, and the goodies she provided were a real treat. We felt refreshed and recharged for the weekend we spent there, and would certainly hope to return soon!

Wonderful property with high standard…
Wonderful property with high standard of fixtures. Particularly liked the open fires and the numerous bathrooms. Excellent location for nearby walks Broughton village nearby had excellent facilities too
Fantastic family getaway
A brilliant house that comfortably accommodated 14 adults and 3 children. Parking for 6+ cars and Keswick a short walk away. Modern rooms and big open reception rooms.
