GREAT DERBY STORE
I visited Poundland, London Road,Derby yesterday for the first time and met an assistant called SHAZ and can’t thank her enough as apart from being a lovely person she was so helpful and to me offered excellent customer service. If only more shops had a SHAZ it would be brilliant. I found out later that SHAZ was on her way to her tea break and had put herself out to help me. Thanks so much to her she deserves some management recognition.

Great Customer Service
A lovely lady called Tallulah from waterlooville high street branch helped me when I could not find suitable mobile phone charger lead. Thanks to her impeccable customer service I managed to purchase the correct item. Definitely will re-visit store again. Thank you!
A Brief and Snappy Transaction
On the evening of 23rd December, I visited Poundland on London Road, Brighton, to purchase a couple of modestly priced items and engage in what I assumed would be a routine, civil exchange at the till. I was mistaken. As I attempted to hand my items to the cashier, they were snatched from my grasp with all the delicacy of a crocodile lunging for a plump duck. I can only commend her hand–eye coordination: the speed and ferocity of the manoeuvre meant that, had her fingernails made contact with my skin, medical attention may well have been required. Once payment was complete, and as I reached to retrieve my purchases from the counter where they had been decisively slapped down, the cashier announced “NEXT PLEASE” in a voice so thunderous it felt capable of rearranging DNA. I have never encountered this lady before, so I can only assume there was something about my appearance that triggered such raw hostility. I sincerely hope that’s the case, as the alternative – that this is her standard customer service approach – is rather alarming. A memorable experience, though perhaps not for the reasons Poundland might hope.

The cus services is grim.I went to Doncaster town centre store today to return/exchange 2 baking trays at £1.99 each that my wife purchased. The store manager said I need proof of purchase/ bank statement and the original card and that person-for £3.99,I assume a refund but I wanted an exchange. I gave up and gave them to the charity store next door.Senior management need to empower store managers to use discretion aptly.
Absolutely traumatized
I have to write this review because the way I have just been treated in Poundland Denton is absolutely disgusting. I was doing absolutely nothing wrong and was met with the most awful aggression from the store manager who's name is Mike. When I asked for his second name to make a complaint he refused to give it to me. I suffer with extreme OCD and mental illness. I was putting the things I wished to purchase in my shopping bag. He came over to me with an aggressive tone and asked me to use a basket but I don't like to because of germs. I explained this to him and said I would like to pay for the things in my bag. He said he would escort me to the till which is fair enough. I said ffs as I was walking round to the till as there was still some things I needed. He then came over to me ripped the bag out of my hand aggressively. Emptied it and threw my ripped bag at me. The proceeded to shout at me to get out the store. I had literally done nothing wrong and just wanted to pay for my things. I left th store absolutely traumatized by my experience there. I have never been treated this way in a store in my life. I could understand if I was doing something wrong but I wasn't. From the moment he approached me he was so aggressive in his tone. I have been going to this store for years and putting things in my bags then paying for them.
