Came in couple of week ago once decided on my birthday i would treat myself to a new sofa wasn’t too sure what we wanted didn’t really know what we was looking for all me and my wife knew was that we needed a new one once we stepped in we was welcomed by a lovely guy (Martin) friendly positive manor and seeing how we didn’t have a clue where to start he was extremely helpful and patient took us around basically the entire store talking about all the different types of sofa material ect ect until we finally found one that both fell in love with, was extremely patient with us as we had our toddler with us at the time who kept running around and being curious about everything true asset to the team our sofa arrived this morning and couldn’t be more happier with it and such a positive experience we was both dressing to begin with

Bought a sofa today with the help of Sharon, Sharon was professional from start to finish, advised us to go home to check measurements, we were pleased we did, Sharon went through everything with us. We are now looking forward to our delivery thank you so much appreciated Sharon. A very happy customer 😀 😊
Amazing Shopping experience
I’ve been to the Edinburgh’s shop at Straiton and I would like to thank Kevin who works there, we felt home straight away. Kevin genuinely care you. Sofas are so well made with reasonable price and over 200 fabrics included in the price.

My new sofa from SCS was delivered on a rather small lorry with quite a few other sofas all seemingly together in limited space on the vehicle The two delivery men were friendly enough but having looked through the sofas onboard offered 3 different ones to me but none were the right ones Having spoke to the shop they found out that mine had not been loaded The right one was still at the shop and they went back to pick it up (took about 30 minutes) One other comment to make , i thought they might have covered their shoes up when coming into the lounge

Clowns! Do not buy! They are cheap & no good! Ask your sales rep what the cushions are made of & take videoss & pics of the show room item. You will not receive a representative item. Do your research! My case is currently in the small claims court! Check facebook reviews before purchasing.
AVOID SCS
Had sofa delivered in august 2025 had a technician out within the first few weeks to repair stitching coming away. Forward a month or so noticed the fabric on the sofa bobbling all over and the sofa cushions started to dip called scs in November 2025 to report these issues and sent photos to be told that it was a dressing issue and they weren’t willing to send out a technician to have a look at the sofa. Weirdly was sent a message after that a technician would come out to have a look at the issues this was January 2026. Upon his arrival he advised me that the sofa was faulty and needed new cushions as they weren’t filled enough when the sofa was made, he also said the sofa shouldn’t be bobbling in such way and he wasn’t sure what they would advise to do with the bobbling. The new sofa cushions took 6 weeks to arrive, so when they arrived I called to make the appointment for them to be repaired and when the technician turned up he said he wasn’t booked enough time to fix the cushions and said he was only there out of good will gesture to fix the bobbling and turnt up with one of them de bobbling machines for your clothes you can buy from Amazon! The bobbling did improve however it isn’t right still and apparently this type of fabric will bobble over time ( we weren’t told that at the time after giving SCS nearly £2000 for the sofa in the store). He said I had to call back to make another appointment for the cushions to be replaced. A few weeks later had another technician came out to repair the cushions took him 2 and half hours to do. However after he left I noticed that the cushions weren’t level and I contacted SCS to report this. I was advised over the phone that I didn’t need to accept any more work as have already had work done and then after the report was done to call them to see what my options were. The technician came out again and said that they can’t really do alot more to the sofa apart from putting another cushion in the corner to try and level it out he also said the sofa doesn’t look great after only 7 months, but I refused the work after being advised to. After contacting SCS again to ask them if the report was there as it had been two days and they said it was and that there was nothing more they could do as I’ve previously accepted work to it and now I’ve declined they cant do no more. This is ‘wear and tear’ apparently after only 7 months is ridiculous thing to say. And that I’m not looking after the sofa which I then said I dress the sofa every day and follow there care guide which was sent upon buying the sofa. I also asked each technician how they would dress this sofa as you cant remove the cushions so would just like to know how they would have ‘dressed’ it and they all said it’s very difficult to do so but just sort of hit the cushions and try puff it out which I do my best to do so. I have had second hand sofas which have lasted years and have had none of these issues arise but after only 7 months the sofa is aload of rubbish!!! The sofa is bobbled all over and the cushions still aren’t right. I would avoid SCS at all costs they are quick enough to take your money in store make you pay extra for warranty and then when you have issues and they still aren’t fully resolved there’s nothing more they can do. Absolute shambles of a company take your money elsewhere.
Appaling level of aftersales service…
Appaling level of aftersales service and no accountability is taken for an order placed incorrectly by staff in-store. I placed an order for a sofa in a very specific grey colour due to having a dog with dark fur. I checked the fabric in store and checked again on the day of ordering with the person who placed the order (Callum I beleive) and when the sofa arrived over 2 months later, it is a light stone colour. Having been into the store to explain this, where I clearly showed the colour I had selected, my claim was completely dismissed as me ordering the wrong colour code. On the website the colour code on the order form looks nothing like the actual colour, as well as the sample colour on the order form being the correct grey, not the light stone of the sofa delivered. After having the matter escalated to a manager, they had no interest in attempting to resolve this and pushing it back on me as ordering the wrong colour code, when I am not the person who entered the order, being staff in-store and I cannot know all of the colour codes, particularly if the sample colours are completely incorrect online and on the sales order form. I am now left with a sofa costing over £2k in the wrong colour and no support being provided or any attempt to resolve the matter. Regardless of a new brand name, it's the same old mistakes being made at ScS.
Utterly discussing service
Utterly discussing service, missold a sofa based on size, raised a complaint more than 3 weeks ago & now being ignored by the store. Emails bounce back. Can’t get hold of regional manager.
