I don't really understand why so many 1 stat review...I do travel a lot and I can say this is a 5 star hostel. Beautiful building in one of the top area with an amazing Staff always happy and ready to help like Milena a very lovely girl super smart and quick as I had a couples of issue and she fixed in no time...always with a full smile on her face. This kind of people make it a 5 Star place!!!

Generator Rome
The location is very near to Roma Termini Station, perfect for traveling. The area is kind of shady and does not feel safe... Staff were very helpfull! The elevator was down, so they offered to help me and carry my luggage till the forth floor. The rooms a very spacious and overall very new and nice, the bathrooms as well. Easy check in and check out. I would stay there again if I need to have one night in Rome near Termini.
Service & facility it’s Not Good
There wasn’t hot water coming in my room so I went down to reception for complain about it but she said me the maintenance will take time and you have check out soon too , I said I want to get shower and she replied me to use general bathroom . I had to use it because I had check out at that day but the issue is I have paid for 4 bedroom en suite not for general service. I don’t like their service. The rest of the thing is alright.
Low Blow
Teacher here, using hostels for most trips with students. This is simply not good enough. Pros: Great shared spaces. That really is all. Cons: Wifi is VERY slow to the point where it is unusable for anything but text. No way to get a coffee after 10pm (No machine, only sold in bar, which closes at that time). Very small rooms with six three-story bunkbeds (Glad I am the teacher and have my own room), no windows that can be opened, and not enough ventilation to make it breathable. Only one shower and toilet for 6 people?!?? (Make some shared shower areas, if that is the room sizes you are going for) Breakfast is the most sad experience I have EVER encountered in a hostel with that service provided. Showers can just about deliver (Three showers now, none very warm). Mattresses are coated with rubber so as to make sleeping rather sweaty. But yeah, easy to clean for the staff! There is such a thing as too effective... I know I am not at a hotel. But this is just below standard for normal hostels. Even a cool brand and logo can't save that. Do better. ESPECIALLY with the coffee, that is just a low blow, when working late. I mean, never seen a hostel without a damn machine for that service. And in many you can make it yourself in the room with a kettle. The reason for two stars and not one is the shared space, which are fine.
Stayed at Generator Paris
Stayed at Generator Paris. 1st night a cleaner or security guard who worked there came into the room at 1:20am, turned on all the lights n banged around. I woke up and asked what he was doing and he ignored me and left. 3rd night I was there the bed next to mine checked out in the morning. Cleaning staff came and cleared my bed. Changed the sheets and took all my personal belongings. When I arrived back my key wouldn't work so I went down and got a new key. Went back up to find that my property had been taken. Went back down to be told that there were no cleaning staff until the next day at 8am. I was checking out the next day so I went down early to recover my items. They weren't found. Aside from that my booking made through Hostelworld clearly says checkout is at 00:00 but I was told 10am by the desk staff and that I'd be charged extra for a late checkout. It's a good location and clean in terms of hostels. It's a shame there were so many bad experiences that went with it. I was never offered any compensation for my things that were taken which was also quite disappointing. If you stay there; lock everything up!! Don't leave any valuables in the dorm rooms
Terrible experience with dishonest…
Terrible experience with dishonest staff. Misleading information from the start. Not pet-friendly at all—pets are banned from all common areas, which is absurd. On top of that, no refund is provided. Avoid.
