I got my vehicle from Carvana on Oct…

I got my vehicle from Carvana on Oct 31st. It was Halloween and was a strange evening to get it but it arrived. The delivery guy forgot to give me a paper that was needed for me to get my 1st tag. I went through weeks of much frustration because the Carvana reps kept telling me that I was given everything I needed and it was not true at all. The chatting back and forth and there was a system error saying my temp tag was good for one year and that was not accurate and no state has a one year temp tag. I did notice a little damage inside on the console area that was not disclosed. Maybe the person who inspected it did not see it because you have to pull the passenger seat back and there it is. The radio does not work right and the CD player does not work and I was told I could pay $100 deductible and find a place to take it and most likely they will need to replace it. I am not sure what to do because it is important. Otherwise I love the 2010 Toyota Rav4. I have medical problems and I just need something reliable to drive around a little, not a lot. I also want to travel to visit family when I feel better. I hope to get this radio problem resolved, it has been less than 3 months

Everything went smoothly except that…they sh*t the bed on transferring my registration.

Everything went smoothly except that Carvana sh*t the bed on transferring my registration. I received new license plates rather than transferring existing plates.

Bought a one year old VOLVO XC 90 from…

Bought a one year old VOLVO XC 90 from Carvana in Gaithersburg, MD. One year later I got a warning light that there was a 12 volt failure in the battery. This car was a hybid and I had never checked the battery before. I took it to my VOLVO dealer. Someone had switched out the original VOLVO battery and relaced it with an off brand/ aftermarket battery that was not even the correct size for our car and it failed. The replacement battery cost over $400 which was of course not covered under warranty. I tried to call Carvana to make them aware of this situation, but could only get through to the chat bot. They said the car had passed the 150 point inspection from Carvana and it was not thier issue. My Volvo dealer says that Carvana makes deals with many rental car companies....that turn over thier cars before 25,000 miles. ...and there are scammers that switch out expensive batteries and replace them with off brand models and sell the expensive ones....Carvana took my information, but offered me no resolution. It could have been handled very differently. Be aware.

I would like to start by saying that my…

I would like to start by saying that my overall experience with Carvana was great as far as buying the car goes. It took me less than an hour online to set everything up and in less than a week later I was driving my new to me car.So heres where everything starts going downhill, the car was delivered to me on dec.27th and about an hour after the car was dropped off I went over to my sons apartment to show him the car and in less than 30 seconds he points down to the bumper on the drivers side corner right below the headlight and says (is that supposed to be sticking out like that?) I looked down and saw the bumper panel had come detached from the uper panel and was sticking out about a quarter of an inch and was not flush with the upper panel. How on earth I missed that when the driver was offloading the car is beyond me but I thought to myself no big deal it's just a broken bumper clip and it shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred dollars to fix and I was correct. On jan3rd I took the car to Audi of Annapolis to have the bumper checked out and if you're reading this review pay attention to the two previously mentioned dates because they become relavant at the end of this absurdly long review. While at the Audi dealership I was called into the service bay by the service assistant and the technician who was working on the car and it was made known to me that not only was I correct about the broken bumper clip but that the entire bumper had been off the car at some point in it's life and it was put back on sturdily but incorrectly and of course they recommended that I replace the entire bumper panel @ a cost of $1500.00 and that was only the beginning of their findings. He then proceeds to show me that the car has a coolant leak @ the shut off valve and that the water pump is also leaking and if you are not familliar with what is required to fix those two parts on an Audi allow me to enlighten you. You pretty much have to take off the entire front end of the vehichle just to get to those two parts.I then proceed to ask them what would all this work cost and the tech said without any hesitation (for everything your probably looking at about ten thousand dollars between parts and labor)and just a side note to what is quickly becoming a nghtmare while I was sitting in the waiting room I got a text message from Carvana who at this point is completely unaware of what is happening that said (we would like to hear from you about your experience with Carvana you can leave a review @ yadda yadda yadda .com) Of course I stated that I just bought this car SEVEN days ago and I'm not paying to have anything fixed other than what I originally brought the car in for. I paid the $225 for the bumper fix and had them print me a detailed description of the other issues and I hightailed it back to my house and fired up the computer, opened their website, and made the call. This is where everything in this absurdy long review REALLY goes south. I call Carvana to tell them about the situation and was put on the phone with a very polite young man who proceeded to try an explain to me that I was actually on my eighth day of the purchase process and not the seventh and that ther was nothing he could do for me about the bumper other than to try and get my $225 reimbursed to me but to not get my hopes up because it was unlikely going to happen and as far as the mechanical issues go he was gonna have to switch me over to their warranty department, a company called Silver Rock to handle that. Speaking to the warranty rep I'm made aware that the car is still under Carvana's 100 day 4,189 mile warranty (not sure how they decided on that mileage number but whatever) and that I had a couple of choices on how to proceed with repairing the vehicle. Choice #1 use an in network provider and pay a $150 deductible Choice #2 use an out of network provider that is wiling to work with Silver Rock (Yeah good luck with that!) and pay a $300 deductible either of which is better than the almost $5000 quote that Audi gave me to fix the water pump and shut off valve so at this point I'm actually hopeful that this issue is going to get resolved but as im slowly learning throughout this whole ordeal I was completely wrong. So I chose option #2 to call Audi an (Out of network provder) to se if they could help and when speaking to the same service rep from earlier that morningshe didn't even let me finish saying the words SILVER ROCK before she wen't into a short rant about why they and most likely any other Audi dealership I try and call in my area won't work with them. I'll spare you the gory details but she basically said that they are impossible to work with from them refusing to pay claims because and i'm quoting here(after running the hour long diagnostic that Silver Rock requires of them they determined that the service was not necessary because the part or parts in question wasn't broke enough.)

Get your car to a trusted mechanic within 7 days

Bottom Line Up Front, get your Carvana car to a trusted mechanic within the first 7 days so that you can determine if you have an unsafe vehicle. Their 150 point inspection apparently is not concerned with safety. Get claims to their authorized garages within those 7 days. Having it documented within that time frame is NOT enough. I knew which car I wanted, I had spent a lot of time saving and researching. Finding that specific model and trim was proving difficult. I finally found a couple options at Carmax and Carvana but none on the east coast. Carvana had a better "delivered price" so I went with it. The purchase and paperwork side of it went smoothly other than a bit of a pain digitizing the records. Then I find out that no, Carvana does not deliver to your home unless you or in a small selected areas. New England is not in the area. Living in Vermont, the car could only make it to Boston. Fine, it was a very specific car and I was willing to drive to out of state dealerships if I had found one anyway. Slight delay but the day comes to drive my trade-in, the 250 miles, to Boston. I get to the location and meet the associate that will be finishing the paperwork. The car is as advertised, with the one noticeable cosmetic damage (as advertised). The associate checks out my trade-in and apparently had never driven a manual. As he was checking for warning lights, started the car and lurches it into the decorative stone retaining wall bordering the parking lot. To their credit, I have not heard complaints about the damage to the front end of "their' car. After a look over of the car, under the hood, trunk, and feeling the tread of the tyres (but only the first or second grove), we finish the paperwork and I head off in my new car. As soon as I get home, 250 miles later, I make an appointment with the local dealership to check out the car. They can't see it for another two weeks. The drive home was great, 250 miles to get a feel of the car and it handled great. I was not worried about the 7day grace period offered by Carvana. Being winter I start lining up snow tyres. As it turns out I get a set lined up for the same day I have my dealership appointment but that is 7 days after our first real snow. I drive the car for 7 days then park it for 7 days given the performance summer tyres and how much they do not like temperatures under 40F. Carpooled for a week. I finally get the car to the dealer and they call that morning to tell me that the belts were showing on two wheels and just starting on the other two. And we were getting more snow. After leaving the car at the dealer all day, they did not have time to perform the scheduled maintenance or to perform their inspection. I still do not know what other mechanical issues I may have. I will not be buying form Carvana again and I will limit my exposure to the dealer. SilverRock's response is that tyres are consumables and are not covered, I point out that it is a safety issue to send me 250 miles on bald tyres, if i had reached out within the 7 days there might have been something they could have done. Carvana is also saying that they are consumables and they don't care. Talking to their authorized garage, I hear that the only time they honored the warranty was when the buyer was within the 7 days and told them to fix the brakes or send their truck to come get it. Again, to Vermont. It was cheaper to fix the brakes. Do not trust that they know or care about the state of the vehicle they are selling you. **Reply to Carvana I have submitted this information to SilverRock and to Carvana. Both rejected the claim due to the tyres being a consumable. Further documentation was submitted verifying dates and it has been radio silence. If you were concerned about this, there would have been a discussion within your own channels of communication. Your claim of caring falls as flat as Carvana's AI customer interface.

Repeat Customer Let Down by Post-Delivery Support

I’m a repeat Carvana customer. My first purchase in 2021 was genuinely smooth, which is why this experience was so disappointing by comparison. The vehicle itself was in good mechanical shape overall, but the post-delivery experience was exhausting. Multiple issues that should have been handled before delivery or resolved quickly afterward turned into drawn-out back-and-forth. One example was a brake fluid service warning that appeared immediately after delivery. What should have been straightforward required repeated calls between Carvana, SilverRock, and in-network shops, conflicting guidance, and escalation just to get clarity on who was responsible and how it could be handled correctly. I ultimately had to do far more coordination myself than should be expected as a customer and really had to battle for this service that was 3 months overdue and throwing a service warning prior to taking delivery of the car. On top of that, I discovered undisclosed cosmetic damage and a cracked windshield shortly after delivery. The windshield crack expanded rapidly in cold weather and required replacement on an ADAS-equipped vehicle. Despite documenting the issue within the 7-day window and clearly stating I wanted to keep the car, the only solution consistently offered was an exchange rather than addressing the defect. Any attempt to escalate or get a safety-focused review resulted in circular responses and policy repetition. The most frustrating part wasn’t the issues themselves, it was the inconsistent information, promises of re-reviews that never actually happened, and the lack of ownership once problems were raised. I was ultimately forced to resolve a delivery-related issue through my own insurance rather than Carvana stepping in. Carvana’s pricing and initial purchase flow are still appealing, but based on this experience, buyers should be prepared to advocate hard for themselves after delivery. Compared to a traditional dealership, the convenience comes at the cost of accountability once something goes wrong.

I was so excited when I found my Audi on the carvana website. The process of approval went so smooth, and the delivery 24hrs later went great! The people who dropped it off were nice and polite on time ECT. For a 2 weeks I loved my new purchase, then it began the absolute mess that is now my car. First after only 13 days my tire literally dissolved on the highway almost causing me to slam into another vehicle and veer off the interstate,ok so one bad tire ,however that was the first I had to replace all 4 tires. It has been nothing short of a money pit after that a "lemon" if you will .A very severe oil leak, the serpentine belt,my start stop system that runs the entire vehicle driving system. All very expensive, and all had to be known to carvana.Be aware.
