Confused by negative reviews

I placed an order for 5 X Henley long sleeve t shirts. Having never ordered from TML before I came on here to check reviews after I’d placed my order. Was a little concerned by all the negativity. Received my order 4 days later and the quality of the cotton is pretty outstanding. Really nice, simple, casual T-shirts. Really soft to the touch and not thin. No idea why there are so many negatives on here. My experience was fantastic. Would highly recommend at the competitive price.

I've bought tm lewin for 10 year

I've bought tm lewin for 10 year. The shirts have gradually reduced in quality. Just bought 4 shirts exactly same size as old shirts. They are 2 inches shorter wo barly get tucked in. Spent night tucking into trouserS

Refund not clearing

The quality isn’t as it used to be

The quality isn’t as it used to be, and you get charged for returns (when the refund eventually arrives). Ordered 3 x items in the sale. When they arrived they were not of the quality expected for the price. It seems this is a cheap brand that has bought TM Lewin name and is living off the success of what was previously a high quality brand. When returned I got charged a few pound per item as a restocking fee I assume. Plus it took about 13 days and three emails to chase why the refund hadn’t been processed

Unacceptable product quality compounded…

Unacceptable product quality compounded by deliberate delay tactics. I purchased five T.M. Lewin t-shirts. Two of them shrank significantly on their very first wash, despite being washed exactly in line with the care instructions. That is a clear failure of basic quality and durability. What makes this worse is the company’s response. Rather than resolving the issue promptly, T.M. Lewin have repeatedly attempted to delay and deflect, asking unnecessary questions, disputing obvious evidence, and dragging out the process instead of taking responsibility. This feels like a calculated effort to frustrate the customer into giving up. Under UK consumer law, goods must be of satisfactory quality and reasonably durable. Clothing that becomes unwearable after one wash does not meet that standard. For a brand that markets itself as premium, both the product quality and the after-sales conduct are extremely poor. I have no confidence in the brand and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere

Poor service

Poor service Ordered shirts pre Xmas and chose Royal Mail delivery. Discovered items had been labelled incorrectly and were sent back via tracked delivery which was received 31/12/25. TM Lewin insisting refund has been issued but my bank says otherwise and has no trace of any return transaction/refund. I am a returning customer but will not be using you any more.

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible. The shirts I bought were nothing like the ones i used to buy at the physical shops. Below is the email exchange that I had with T.M. Lewin's customer service ( i only copy my messages for privacy reasons ): "Hi P, you obviously don’t need customers. Do understand that my problem is not to get the money back or that the shirts are “faulty”. My problem is that I did not receive the shirts that I assumed I was buying i.e. the previous T M Lewin style and design. What I used to buy from your physical shops is what I assumed I was buying online. Nowhere on the website does it warn customers that you have changed things. You say you had quality consistency problems. I disagree: the shirts that I bought over and over for many years were perfectly consistent. Who needs more structured collars, cuffs and plackets and heavier materials? Who asked you to change them anyway ? They were just perfect as they were. Just as an example, the new stitching on the collar’s edge is terrible, can’t bear to look at it. In reply to his, I then added: "I disagree. “Heritage” implies “traditional” which implies “following an old style”. Leaving aside the material, the design of this shirt is anything but traditional. In addition, your website does not provide a sufficiently detailed description and close up pictures / photos of the shirt’s design. Hence, it is impossible to tell whether the shirt that you send out is in fact the same as the shirt pictured on the web site. Put another way, if I had been able to tell from the website exactly the kind of shirt I was actually going to receive, I would never have bought it. As already indicated, I am not talking about your “return policy” – you are a broken record on this. I am talking about something more important: care about customer satisfaction and misleading and deceitful “publicity”. In reply to his, I then sent one final appeal: "Look, I don’t want my money back. Couldn’t you just accept a merchandise return from me (packages unopened) and just send me instead some max performance shirts: white (preferably poplin), slim fitted, 15 collar. Thanks" In response to his suggestion that I actually buy the "performance shirts", here is my last reply to TM Lewin: "Well done you! You have just lost a customer and obtained a consequent review."

Ordered items mid Dec

Ordered items mid Dec. Did not deliver at London City store as agreed by latest delivery 23rd Dec. Made special trip to London to collect Dec 29th store showing open but was inexplicably closed. Connected ™ Chat promised resolution email. Zero follow through. Awful in every way.Avoid!!
